INTRODUCTION In individual context, both personal as well as professional development are important concept which is being adopted and considered in effective manner. Personal & professional development is to be defined asprocess ofcontinuous learning anddevelopment(Borg, 2018). Main aim of this report is to understand the importance of persona and professional development in individual context. MAIN BODY Discuss concept of personal development plan The concept of personal development plan is important which is to be considered in proper manner. It is important for students to focus on the growth and success for which it is essential to be well aware about the personal development plan. With consideration of this plan, it is easy to access to students mind set and goals which are required to be analysed. PDP is a time consuming process which is needed to be carried out in effective manner(Davis, 2017).Furthermore, with use of this plan students are able to access their professional objective in correct way. Also, it assist in self assessment of students and helps in accessing of inner capabilities in well defined manner. Value of short-term goal with example In students life, it is crucial tofocus on goals and objectives so that it is easy to access to career plans. With consideration of short term goal, it helps in achieving of growth in proper manner (Hui, 2017).Basically short term goals are those which are needed to be focused so that it is easy to access to personal goals. So, various types of short term goals are mentioned as follows- Example 1 My first short term goals is to remain fit and wake up in the morning at 5 AM . Example 2 My another goal is to complete my language training with time period. Example 3 Another one is to complete my college semesters with good grades. Value of Medium term goal Medium term goals are also crucial which are needed to be focused as because they help in clearing of mind set of individual(Phillips, 2019).In these flexible situations. It is crucial to be well aware about medium goals as they assist in achieving of strategical objectives in effective manner. Example 1 My medium term goals is to access the football academy by playing match every day.
Example 2 My interest is on digital marketing so I want to access certificates of digital marketing Example 3 I want to do savings so that I can purchase a new laptop for my gaming zone. Value of long term goal Long term goals are important in everyone life. For example- it is necessary to be well aware about the individual long term goals on the basis of which it is easy to do planning for future. Example 1 My long term goal is to start my own cafe and become a successful entrepreneur. Example 2 To be ahead in corporate sector, I need to focus on my professional life so that I can achieve better employment. Example 3 I need to learn the time management which is highly essential for my future goal in which that can help me out to easily manage all things. Value of personal development plan along with constructive example Thepersonalandprofessionaldevelopmentiscriticallyimportantwhichistopbe considered in proper manner. So, PDP is further discussed as follow- Current skillsTarget skillsProblems facedTime interval Mycurrentskillis communication skill in which is I will give 2.3 score out of 5. In this, my target is to achieve 4.2 from 5. The problem which I faced during process is thatIgethesitated sometime. Time interval for this skill is 4 months. Mycurrentskillis timemanagementin whichIwillgive myself3.3 score out of 5. So, in this my target skill is to achieve 4 out of 5. IssueswhichIfaced duringthisprocess was of prioritising of task. Time interval for this is 7 months. ICT skillsis also my currentskill in which itcomprisesof information, Mytargetfor achieving this skill is toachieve 4.3 out of 5.
