Introduction
The business conditions of the Hong Kong market is very much dynamic in nature
and there are regular technological advancements in the field of cloud computing (). Outblaze
is a holding business organization that was set up in Hong Kong having the primary motive
of providing business related solutions with the proper utilization of digitalized media and
cloud computing depending completely upon the web based applications (Meredith, Mantel
Jr and Shafer, 2017). Outblaze had begun services in the year of 1998, when Outblaze served
all of its clients with web-hosted services such as webmail, chat, file sharing, messages and
lists of mailing. However, with the solutions related to the digitalized field, Outblaze had a
major impact upon the technological environment of Hong Kong prevailing towards the
positive aspects of evolution in the business world. In relation to the impact that Outblaze had
upon the business environment of the Hong Kong, the project has been undertaken by clearly
mentioning the entire plan upon which the project has been done (Kerzner, 2017). In addition
to this, the objectives, resources, costs, time and the risks related to the project have been
clearly stated in accordance to the undertaken project.
Section A Project management plan
Task 1
1.1. Devise project aims and objectives for investigating Outblaze impacting the
technological environment in Hong Kong (P1)
In order to develop the project, the researcher need to identify the specific aim of
objective for narrow down the research area (Schwalbe, 2015). The aim of the undertaken

research is to identify the underlying impact of the current growth of Outblaze on the
technological environment in Hong Kong.

1.2. Produce a project management plan that covers aspects of cost, scope, time, quality,
communication, risk and resources (P2 and M1)
Project Management Plan: This project had been initially undertaken to
successfully meet the objectives laid down during the initial phase of the same. In addition to

this, the project plan has been properly analysed and undertaken having a complete
accordance to the same. The objectives aligned to the project such as carrying out a brief
study of the current situation of Outblaze prevailing in Hong Kong, how Outblaze had an
impact on the business environment as well as the challenges being posed towards the
succession of Outblaze on impacting Hong Kong and the related business organizations
(Heagney, 2016). Aim of the project has been devised in regards to the objectives that have
been stated. Costs and the time taken for the project have been briefly identified and stated
with correct facts and figures. Along with this, quality of the project, the communication that
shall be efficiently carried out as well as the potential risks posed towards the project have
been stated. Lastly, the resources gathered and required for the project has also been taken
into consideration (Harrison and Lock, 2017). The project has been planned and categorized
under primary phases namely, Proposal Phase, Reviewing the Literature, Collection of Data,
Data Analysis and developing the final research of the project.
Project Cost: The cost of the project is HKD 25,500. There are many activities carried
out to complete the project and the project cost is divided into several parts to complete the
project.

Project Scope: The primary scope of this project is the identification of the
technological impact of Outblaze in Hongkong.
Project Time: The time required for this 160 days, the detailed scheduling of this
project shall be illustrated in the Gnatt chart table which will be presented in the later section
of this paper.
Project Quality:
Quality referring to a project needs to be considered in order to successfully deliver
the project by adhering to the successful completion of the same. The limitations that have
been identified while carrying out the project in terms of Outblaze have been properly treated
with the required techniques of mitigation (Kerzner, 2018). In addition to this, all of
resources have been properly listed down that will be required while carrying out the project
in order to nullify further delays to the project. Along with these, specific decisions have been
properly taken so that the entire project ends in a successful venture on project closure.

Communication: Communication with the team members are essential part of the
project to ensure the proper flow of information with all the members associated for the
completion of the project (Binder, 2016). Here, the researcher has chosen, email and phone as
the mode of communication.
Risk and Resources:
There are different variants of resources who are primarily involved within this
project such MS Excel which will be required for analysing the primary data (Kerzner, 2019).
Peer reviewed articles are the other resource associated with this paper. Further, Google
Online Survey Form will be used for collecting the primary data from the employees.
Every project is associated with various risks (Lock, 2017). Since the data is collected
through the primary sources and from the employees of Outblaze, there remains a scope of
biased information.

Appropriate research methodologies applied: Selection of appropriate research
methodology is essential for identifying the source of data collection. In this undertaken
research study, mixed method has been used. For the qualitative data the researcher has
focused on the interview with the manager of Outblaze (Young, 2016). On the other hand, for
the quantitative approach, online survey has been used. From the data identified from these
two sources the researcher has tried to evaluate the impact of Outblaze on the technological
advances at Hong Kong market.

Section B: Project findings, research and analysis
Task 2
2.1. Carry out small-scale research by applying qualitative and quantitative research
methods appropriate for meeting project aims and objectives (P4 and M2)
Quantitative research: Quantitative research has been by firstly carried out
interviewing 50 of the users that have been associated with Outblaze for quite a period of
time. The Likert Scale has been utilized while the responses from the users have been
recorded using the questions that have been prepared in the questionnaire. The Likert scale
has the primary inclusion of a number of responses that perfectly align to the generalised
mind-set of the probable answers that are generally expected (Hornstein, 2015). In addition to
this, the random probability method has been utilized for collecting the responses according
to the probable responses the employees must provide. Lastly, the participation of the users
within the research has been a voluntary act, where no single employee was compelled to
take part into the survey.
Qualitative Research: the qualitative research has been done by carrying out the
survey of all the higher level employees who have been working under Outblaze for a
specified time period and have again visibly foreseen the impact that Outblaze is about to
have upon the technological environment in accordance to the businesses working in Hong
Kong. Specifically in this research, the managers have been provided with a set of questions,
where they provided with suitable answers that have already been mentioned with the
utilization of the Likert scale. The managers have been completely voluntary regarding the
choice of being a part of the survey that is being carried out. Hence, as a matter of fact no
arbitrary data has been inputted and the random probability method has been particularly

used in order to gather the responses from all the managerial employees belonging to the
organization.

Analysis with the project managers of Outblaze
Respondent Manager-1
The first manager on being asked about the current condition of the technical market
responded that the current condition is much better than it was previously after Outblaze
started intervening into the most crucial situations that had been previously difficult. The
major challenges have been visibly identified by this manager is the difficulty of proposing
with better solutions since the market is already occupied with the backdated technologies

from the previous organizations. In order to mitigate the challenges the manager has
responded with facts of introducing and setting live examples of how the problems existing
can be solved with the provision of high speed internet.
Respondent Manager-2
The second manager who had been asked the same questions stated in reference to the
first question that the technical market previously had the expertise of impacting upon the
technological environment but had no ways of implementing the same. The manager
responded to the second question with an answer that the primary difficulty Outblaze was
facing had been in terms of utilizing the already available resources for the betterment of the
technological environment in the Hong Kong market. To the third question, the manager
placed forward that various divisions of the company have been trying hard and training the
expertise readily available by providing with low cost technical service and assistance.
Respondent Manager-3
The third argued that the technical market was already suffering a huge loss with the
usage of older technologies that the other existing organizations have been provisioning them
with hence the impact of Outblaze was measured as one of the most important turning point
for Hong Kong. The manager stated that the company has been developing methods of
influencing the organizations to make use of the latest technology such as high tech cloud
services in accordance with the emerging services that Outblaze will be performing.
Respondent Manager-4
The fourth manager who was interviewed with the same set of questions had argued
with the fact that the implementing the newest technologies in accordance with the field

where Outblaze primarily performs shall not succeed unless the existing business
organizations agree upon a mutual point where the benefit will ultimately be beneficial to the
technological environment of Hong Kong. The organization has also been providing with
services such as efficient customer services in order to solve all the related queries that might
be prevailing in regards to the services that shall be enjoyed by the customers.

Respondent Manager-5
The fifth manager of the organization was questioned the last, in regards to which the
manager showcased that the primary problem that Outblaze has been facing was in terms to
convincing the financers or the investors to provision money for the implementation of the
newer technologies. In addition to this, the manager highlighted that being already convinced
by the condition of the technical market most of investors showed least importance to the
betterment of the existing technological environment belonging to Hong Kong. Lastly, the
manager stated that various surveys along with seminars have been taken in order to convince
the investors for provisioning with money to help in implementing newer technologies.
3.2 Communicate appropriate recommendations as a result of research and data
analysis to draw valid and meaningful conclusions (P6 and D2)
From the responses that have been gathered by 50 employees belonging to the
organization as well 5 managers of the project that had been undertaken by the Outblaze have
been gathered and discussed below.
Uninterrupted Service: in accordance to the services that Outblaze will be providing in
accordance to the responses that some of the employees had given is of uninterrupted service
that will allow the customers to enjoy services constantly with getting interrupted. This will
again allow the customers to carry out essential activities that may get hampered due to
interruptions or deviations, which will be mitigated by Outblaze.
Hi-tech cloud services: according the responses that have been gathered, Outblaze is
evidently providing all the customers with hi-tech cloud services. The cloud services as stated
by the managers of the organization will allow the customers to store data and be assured
with the fact of having no cyber threats posed towards the data that belongs to the customer

particularly. These facts have been again mentioned by the managers who have been a part of
the survey.
Hi-tech Internet: from the survey that was originally held, the employees along with some of
the managers have placed forward the fact that Outblaze as a part of the services p0roviding
to the customers, high speed internet will also be provisioned to all the customers. The
internet will provide all with uninterrupted service along with proper network connectivity so
that the speed in accordance to the internet will not be low. In addition to this, Outblaze will
also provide with the maximum speed of internet in comparison to the other service providers
in Hong Kong.
Low-cost technical services: Outblaze will also provide the customers with the minimum
number of cost in relation to maintenance or repairing of issues related to technicality that
have been clearly mentioned by the employees as well as the managers who have been
interviewed. This service is considered to be the lowest in terms of cost as a reason being the
sole provider for such low cost services in comparison to the competitors.
Secure service: services that will be provided by Outblaze and the one that will be enjoyed by
the customers of the organization shall be in accordance with proper measures of security in
order to safely and securely maintain the sensitive data belonging to the customers of the
organization. All of these facts have been gathered from the responses in particular.
Conclusion
The project has been undertaken completely upon the basis of the technological
impact that Outblaze will have upon the technical market that has been prevailing in Hong
Kong. This project has been accomplished by properly seeing the time, cost, budget and the
scope of the project in regards to the primary objectives that have been placed as a measure

of successfully completing the project. In addition to this, researches have been conducted
along with that interviews have been taken. 50 employees of the organization have been
interviewed with questions that have been set in accordance with the challenges and the
mitigation techniques that have been suggested. Along with this, 5 managers of Outblaze
have been interviewed with the help of a set of questions. The services that Outblaze will be
providing have been derived from the responses of the employees as well as the managers of
the company. Lastly, benefits that Outblaze will specifically have upon the technological
environment of Hong Kong by proper provision of the services have been mentioned
properly.

4.1 Reflect on the value of undertaking the research to meet stated objectives and own
learning and performance and evaluation of the project management process (P7 and
M4)
The research paper that has been carried out in this report was to identify the impact
of the business performance on the technology environment of Hong Kong. The project as
successful in achieving its aim and objective as because the secondary and primary research
data collection method was carried out in completing the project.
The cloud computing solutions had come into play in majority of the multinational
companies as a part of bringing a change within the business activities that are specifically
carried out in the different parts of the organization. Within the entire research that has been
carried out having the primary aim of carrying out a detailed study regarding the impacts that
Outblaze had upon the business organizations by provisioning them with the solutions to
business activities as a part of the business solutions. The primary research had been carried
out in accordance with the various owners of the business organizations as well as the
employees working under the same.
The project completion time and the project cost that was specified in the beginning
of the project were fulfilled and the primary research and the secondary research that was
carried out fulfilled the project scope and the project objective for carrying out the project.
The entire research was carried out with the help of the entire team belonging to the project.
Each individual member of the team had carried out every individual roles as well as
responsibilities that was specifically assigned to them as a part of the key responsibilities.

The primary research was done according to the methods stated under the primary procedures
belonging to the field of project management.
The problems that were emerged while carrying out the project involved not getting
enough secondary resources for finding out the performance impact of Outblaze on
technological business of Hong Kong. But after research from different sources and sites,
several articles and journals were found out that helps in completing the paper successfully.
The research was beneficial to the various studies as well as the approach aligned to the
project of Outblaze and how the particular organization had carried out the same with the
help of all the solutions belonging to cloud computing and by provisioning with a helping
hand towards the performance of the same.
The lesson that I have learnt after undertaking this project is learning the procedure of
carrying out primary research and secondary research for the project. The primary research
included analyzing the responses that were provided by the respondents of the company.
As a project manager, I would rate myself 4 out of 5 as firstly I was not capable of
assisting my team members about how to carry out the research. I have learnt the research
methodology and data collection methods that was needed to carry out the project.
I had specifically researched upon the topic on a general basis as to how the business
organizations feel beneficial with the help of cloud computing and the related solutions
belonging to the same field of implementation.
