Title of Proposed Research: “To understand the impact of mergers and
acquisitions finance on short term performance of acquiring companies. A
case study on Coca Cola”
Introduction
Aim:
To evaluate the impact of fiance M&A on short term performance of acquiring
company.
Objective:
 To understand M&A and its impact on companies.
 To evaluate and find out the drawbacks of M&A which large businesses take.
 To recommend measures and methods to have successful M&A for organisation.
Research questions:
 What is merger and acquisition and its impact on businesses?
 What are the limitations and challenges which are faced by acquiring companies?
 What are the recommended measures and strategies which must be followed by these
organisations to have higher functioning?
Motivation
Merger and acquisition very essential for businesses to be able to operate in the market
for quality staff and knowledge of the industry. Funds can be found easily and understanding
this technique is very important. Limited researches are present for others to get a better
knowledge therefore the topic is selected on this.
Relevant literature
Information on merger and acquisition can easily be found which is going to make the
working be higher. More businesses would be able to make right planning and decisions for
the future which is going to be a great factor for a long run (Ansari and Mustafa, 2018).
Data
Secondary data collection is going to be considered for this research with taking into
account of journal of finance, journals of banking & finance, review of studies in corporate
finance, etc.
Methodology
Qualitative data would be used in this research with having inductive research
approach making the research be more effective. Ethical considerations and secondary data
would be collected for this research (ALI and BANSAL, 2019).
