INTRODUCTION
Tourism boosts the profitability of the tourism industry even though the economy as well.
Tourism can be considered as the economic sector and highly sensitive in regard to the climatic
change therefore they also contribute towards the emission of the greenhouse gas which CHG
and that causes a global warming in the environment. The sustainable tourism incorporate the
climate change. The report includes the information that aims towards the impacts, challenges
for sustainable tourism and climate change because of them. report includes the information
about the tourism by which the tourism sector faces issues and challenges. The Mountain
tourism who is determined under the hills and mountain region and prefer to visit these type of
places. This report include information about the tourism and the issue that they are facing such
as COVID-19 issue and the technology issue that tourism industry faces.
MAIN BODY
Tourism is the social and cultural phenomenon which mainly describes the movement of the
people from one place to the another place. It offers the sort of the satisfaction to the people so
that they will adore the beauty of the nature. Mountain tourism is one of the main component of
tourism it is mainly takes place in a short or limited geographical areas which can be hills and
the mountains (Flavián, Ibáñez-Sánchez, and Orús 2019). Mountain hills involves the adequate
properties which can embedded to the specific landscape, climate and the biodiversity. As the
tourist are attracted towards the mountain due to the climate and to involve in the snow based
environment or to interact with the local community. The major top location for the mountain
tourism are Vinicunca, Dufton pikes, Bowen island, Helvellyn.
CURRENT ISSUE THAT IMPACT ON CLIMATE BY TOURISM
Tourism industry: tourism industry indicates the tourism and develop the economy of the
country and the tourism industry is also big industry. Nowadays the tourism industry is the
largest industry and there are a lot of different type of tourism as in this report evaluation of the
mountain tourism and the issue that they face (Alarcón, and Cole, 2019). Such issue that
mountain tourism faces during the COVID-19 that having the great impact on the economy as
well as the tourism industry as well. Because in the tourism sector there are a lot of the tourism
who prefer (mountain) than any other place that's why because of the COVID-19 these type of

tourism faces the issue more. The tourism system is totally based on the consumer who prefer to
travel during holidays, as a work or etc. they travel all over the world and specifically if we are
talking about the mountains' tourism as the mention above they like to travel these types of
places therefore they gain the experience from that place and promote that place via
communication.
As current issue in tourism analyse the encouragement and key question because of the
pandemic and the issue designed to understand both tourism whether they are new or
experienced. Because of the COVID-19 the tourism factor affect majorly and the international
economy affect as well. The impact of the pandemic on the global tourism reflect the health
factor and the pandemic crisis is a short term effect on the tourism industry by which they will
assess the risk management and for the better advancement in this sector organization should
implement the risk assessment to fight with this factor and recognize their brand in the market
(Boğan, and Sarıışık, 2019). There are a lot of things by which tourism sector move forwards to
the sustainability and better advancement through technology as well. The mountain tourism is a
type of tourist and the y prefer the landscapes specifically and according to the climate, activity,
events etc. which they prefer to join and therefore that's why they travel. This also include the
climatic condition factor and structure by which different types of tourist prefer different things
and travels across the globe according to their preferences. Because of the tourism many
climatic changes are occurs some of them are given below.
Which they prefer to enjoy. There are a lot of issue by which tourism industry faces issue during
the COVID-19 and for the mountain tourism. These are the factor by which the tourism industry
faces issue such as;
Logistic affect the climatic change: in tourism industry logistics are the major issue face by
the tourism because the pandemic specially the mountain tourism and this also include the
control and management operations, in this the requirements and needs also included because of
the tourism. The logistics in the tourism industry facing issue during the COVID-19 because
many travelling company and because of the pandemic the lock down has been all over the
globe by which many organizations and specially the travelling one affect majorly and the
tourism who want to travel in the mountains are affect majorly because of the pandemic. This
has the major impact on the climate also as the transportation is locked due to pandemic
therefore this thing is helpful for the climate Because if the tourist travel during the pandemic

therefore there will be very risk of lives of many people. Even though the international boarder
also sealed and no tourist can travel across the boarders. By this there is one thing which
increases that local industry will get help because of this people prefer to travel within
boundaries (Baum, 2018).
Health factor affect the climate change : because of the COVID-19 the health factor affect as
well the tourism are very aware about the health factor by which they will only prefer hygienic
food and place to stay even though the travelling factor. All the things nowadays choose by the
tourism are very precisely and in a manner to their health factor because this is very essential for
them as well as the people who will contact to them. Because of this international tourism affect
also and therefore, the globe is facing the unprecedented in a global health. People are more
aware about their health as they before because of the pandemic and now whenever the tourist
travel they started with the pre booking majorly they prefer for the hygiene factor and determine
the best place for their stay and transportation as comfortable according to their health factor.
Safety measure affect the climatic change : in the tourism sector the safety measure indicates
the societal well-being and safety measure by which the tourist easily analyse their safety and
predict the negative impact if they travel (Stankov, and Filimonau, 2019). As the business
world is affected by this factor and therefore, the tourism sector have to very careful because the
safety measure nowadays are very critical and mainly consumer have to be very careful if they
want to go at mountain or hills type places because they want to analyse the COVID-19 facto by
which the social factor also important in this because people get safety measure when the society
also aware about that help each other in terms of safety. As the mountains and hills are not safe
because many people visit their rapidly.
Human resource affect the climatic change : in tourism factor affect the climatic change the
human resource development also necessary as they also face the issue that affect the tourism
industry majorly because the human resource is the essential part of any organization. In the
travel company the importance of the travel agents is also necessary because they play the
important part in the organization. After the pandemic there has been major decline in human
resource and contact by which the climate has changed a lot and healthy because people
interaction are less, and they also afraid because of the infected diseases that spread recently.
Companies should give reward to the travel agents for the better advancement of the tourism
industry because with the help of this they will also motivate their staff, and they should halve to

focus on their health factor ans safety measure as they are travelling during these period when
the COVID-19 is risky. Mainly HR include the all operation and activity which held in the
organization and help the industry to grow by which they help the tourist as well (Ioannides,
and Gyimóthy, 2020).
Infrastructure: infrastructure in the tourism industry determine the facilities and equipment
which needed to the tourism industry and there consumer for the better experience. The
infrastructure also analyse the factor in tourism that it includes the airport, transportation and
destination is also includes the infrastructure. The infrastructure and surrounding are also get
cleaned because no one was out therefore this enhances the climate majorly. The importance of
the infrastructure help and boost the factor in the tourism industry by which organization will
help and attract the tourist towards the industry through the perfect infrastructure. The hotel
industry which is located a t the hills or the mountains are also harmful for the climate.
Price level: because of the COVID-19 many organizations and industry face lose because of this
after the pandemic is little over now the industry will charge from the consumer double or more
according to the previous time. This will emerge their business but not good for the tourist
because they want to explore and the industry type their prices because of this the tourist face
major issue and effect. The tourist creates a development by which the tourism industry enhance
their development more. After the pandemic and therefore many reasons there is hype in the
prices for the tourism because the tourism industry also made clean and hygiene environment by
which they can attract more tourism. And for the better and clean climate. The destination who
is higher end of the market are less price elastic price and these factor determine and influence
the tourism sector. In the tourism industry there are price competitiveness also very major and
for competing with the competitor organization has to face and develop their infrastructure, train
human resources and create a good environment for the tourism for the betterment of the
industry.
Landscapes resources: the mountain tourism faces main issue by the climatic condition and
issue of the landscapes by which they are unable to visit many places they want to visit.
Landscapes is basically played the role of the decision-making of the tourist and their
destination. The landscapes are the central of the tourism and this will affect the promotion
factor, and the destination for the tourism factor is also necessary as compare to before the

landscapes also get reduces because the fewer people travel less it gets affect to the climate and
globe.
Personal factor: in personal factor in the tourism industry determine the factor by which it
evaluates the health, availability of the resources, competitor, prices, and differences by which
the industry determine their tourist factor (Laing, 2018). Personal factor of the people in the
tourism industry are varied according to their culture and because of this the industry faces issue
that they don't know the languages and their culture things that's why they are unable to
understand and satisfy each and every tourist who visit. As in the mountain tourism the major
people always prefer to stay in a camps and born fire but his the organization have to manage all
these things for their tourism.
Technological issues:
As in tourism it is common to use the technological equipments just to make the travellers
journey remarkable. The main reason to use the technology is that in the Mountain tourism
mainly involves the issues regarding natural calamities which can cause life, property damage.
Technological issues are the major issues which can be faced in the tourism, lack of network can
cause the problem for the tourist at the mountain. Therefore traveller agency use the technology
in order to provide the better services to the traveller. Tourist company use the technology to
provide the better tourism experience to the travellers so that the whole tourism journey can
become memorable and unforgettable for them. ultimately the main reason to involve the
technological aspect as it helps to reduce the cost, or to be helpful in timely factor. But travel
company only think about their revenues but they do not show their concern about the climate
change which is majorly due to technological devices used in tourism. As the more technologies
are used which is mainly operated by the fossil fuels. Due to this it release the more CO2 in the
atmosphere which is te main reason for global warming. But along with the major advantages
technologies also provides the major disadvantages which are as follows:
Technological devices required huge investment:

It is the major aspect which can be consider as having the technology implementation always
required a lot of investment. technological devices are made of expensive materials, which also
required a skill employee who manage the devices. But this devices are toxic for the
environment as it can’t easily decompose as for the Tourism industry if they are using the
technology to improve the experience of the tourist by providing them real time experience, for
that they also need to hire the skilful employee, it mainly time consuming process, as well as
time to time maintenance of the technological devices also impacts the finance resources but
also hazardous for the environment because of the rising of toxic gases in the atmosphere. As
manufacturing a technological equipment required a big investment and it also develop the huge
waste, which cannot be decompose in a time and burning of the electronic item can cause the air
pollution (Dorcic, Komsic and Markovic, 2019).
Cyber-security:
Major concern with the technology is the cyber-attack as rise of technology also witnessing the
cyber-attack which can cause major damage in personal data lose, or also life threat factors can
have caused by the technology. Therefore, for that reason it is important to implement the cyber
security aspect so that it resists any kind of malicious attack. It is the major concern which can
be seen in the technology, the major privacy risks can be identified as the data manipulation,
theft of the data. therefore if the tourism industry do not able to provide the better data security
to their customers, then why the travellers would go for their agency. Cyber security cause the
environment from the catastrophic spills, as it can negatively impact the environment by giving
rise to fire, explosion in the air which can rise the green house gases which are the biggest
reason for the global warming. Therefore tourism is negatively impacting the environment by
using different technologies.
Unemployment issue:
Technology which are used in tourism sector is threat to the climate as well as threat to the
living of the people. As it drives the loss of jobs. for the tourism organisation if they are using
the technology, as technological devices are able to carry out the task of more than one person,
they ease the whole task process, and enable the company to make effective decision or to
deliver the services in a certain given time. But it is the disaster for the ecosystem, as the CO2
which is emitted by the technology are the threat for human life. With the pollution they can
suffer from the incurable diseases. (Avi, Rahman and Sardar, 2021). therefore, for the tourism

experience technology are beneficial but also it is threat for the job loss, or to threat for the
environment which is not good for human life.
Having a technology will provide the better understanding to everything, as for the
mountain tourism it is important to know about the climatic condition. Climate is the major
concern in this type of tourism, as natural disaster can mainly occur at the hilly areas, it is the
major responsibility of the tourism industry to know about the climate so that they began to
provide their tourist a better tourism experience (Baggio, 2019).
Internet of thing:
IOT technology describes the Physical entity network which are connected to the sensors and
software’s. But this sensors are highly polluted as it cause the environmental pollution, as IOT
devices required the large amount of energy for data transfer. It requires the batteries that affect
the landfills. It only requires the better connectivity to connect the devices over the internet. As
this device and the sensors are able to provide the efficient transfer of the data over the wireless
network it do not involve the human intervention. Having an IOT devices can give the better
tourism experience to the travellers. This technological devices are widely used in tourism
industry that are run from the batteries, as using of more batteries can end up in the landfills. As
it involves the toxic elements which enter into the ground can destroy the productivity of field,
also disturbs the ecosystem as landfills are used for growing the crops. Therefore IOT device are
causing the adverse impact on environment. as for the Mountain tourism it mainly seen that
over the height network seem as poor or sometimes do not work, the major issues can be seen in
that it do not provide the sufficient data protection also which can be the major issue seen in this
technology. Significant problem can be identified is privacy related issue, which is the major
concern of everyone. Tourist use the Band which track their health monitoring, if they goes on
the high peak of the mountain and lost their signals it can give the negative impact on their
experience. Therefore for the mountain tourism all tourist majorly use the wearable devices
which are the threat to the climate.
Artificial technology:
It is the widespread technology which is majorly concerned with the Smart machines and
devices, they are efficient to carry out the major tasks which generally required the human
intelligence (Buhalis, 2019). AI robot provides the better customer relation to the organisation,

as for the tourism industry it will help them to predict the future pattern, also provide the
assistance to the customer which can give them a real time experience or beneficial to resolve
their task. from this customer can easily ask the questions related their tourism spot. (Kwok and
Koh, 2020). Using of AI technology in tourism sector is common, but it also use the high power
GPU for running the AI machine, which is responsible to rise the level of CO2 in the
atmosphere. Therefore it can rise the emission of green house gases in the environment which is
responsible for the global warming
Robotics:
Robotics define as the designing and developing with the help of the mechanical robots, it is the
technology which is the branch of the science which is used to design the machines which are
the Robots that are used to reduce the complexity from the task so that it can be easily deliver
the task. major issue as it takeover the human jobs, it also impact the human interaction. Robots
are the reason which increase the unsustainable exploitation of materials. Especially for
designing the robot requires a energy and other resources which significantly impact the
ecosystem. Therefore technologies have major impact in driving the changes in climate, as most
of the technologies emit the large amount of CO2 in the environment. Therefore it is essential
for the tourism to use the technology who have less impact on environment. for the tourism
industry it is essential for them if they are using this technology, which might provide them a
benefit but this technology is not a cost effective, as well as to operate this machine they require
the high maintenance, but also it is not possible that every task can do machines, some tasks
requires the man powers too. But the materials required for manufacturing the robots can
disastrous for the environment, these materials are threat for the marine lives as well as
explosive which can impact the ecosystem. (Bilotta and et.al 2021). Therefore for the mountain
tourism if the industry use this technology they require the large investment as well require the
highly knowledge possess employee so that they can handle the robotics.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it is concluded that the tourism are majorly affecting the climate.
Many issues can seen because of the global warming. Tourism is the main carrier which is
enhancing the emission of the green houses gases in the environment. Above report discuss

about the main reason which is mainly affecting the climate, as it is described above that using
of different technologies in the tourism are common and they are creating the pollution in the
environment by emitting large amount of CO2 in the atmosphere.
