INTRODUCTION
Tourism is an activity of travel from one place to another for pleasure. This can be at
international or domestic level. Travel and tourism is a hospitality industry that’s why it is more
essential and complex to manage demand and supply in this industry (Sharpley, 2015). Different
countries develop tourism in order to attract large number of visitors and to get competitive
advantages and at the same time give opportunity to earn foreign exchange. Scope of tourism
development is mention under this report. Further impact of different tourism development
activities on various tourist destinations is all mention in this. Along with this, different strategies
which can be used to minimize the negative impact of tourisms and to maximize the positive
impact of tourism is all detailed under this report.
TASK 1
1.1 Scope of tourism development
Tourism is one of the fast growing industry in world. For promote the tourism it is very essential
that there must be quality services everywhere form arrival of traveler to their departure. It is
very necessary that every tourist must feel comfortable and should feel that they got some
experience for rest of their life (Hinch and Higham, 2011). Different factors such as culture,
visitors and customs all these must be considered and properly monitored by authority to offer
maximum comfort to visitors. It is very essential that there must be skilled and capable
workforce to fulfill the requirement of visitors. Government of country play a big role in whole
concept of tourism so it is very essential that government must adopt a positive approach and
attitude to identify and solve the issues involved in this industry. Terrorists is one of the biggest
threat to the industry of tourism and this largely affect the growth of this industry. The main
factors which affect the growth of tourism industry can be understood by following points:
Political: Political relations of a country and political stability in one country largely affect the
activities of tourism development. Peaceful relations and conditions in the world are required to
develop tourisms in one country (Látková and Vogt, 2012). If government one country provide
and support different agencies who work related with the development of tourism than this
ensure development of different tourist destinations in that country and attract large number of
visitors.
Economic: Income is one of the key element which affect the development of
tourism. For example: high income growth in developed countries allow the people to
spend more money on travel. While on the other hand people with low income level
does not spend much on travel. Negative impact f increase number of visitors is that it
decrease the natural resources of country.
