PROJECT A
Hilton hotel is the leading brand in hospitality industry. Hilton hotel work in
collaboration and has relationship with other firms which operate in tourism industry such as
airline, transportation and travel agencies. Cited firm has strong relationship with these sectors
those which are operating in travel and tourism sector. Entity coordinate with the airlines and
travel agencies. These tour operators provide accommodation facilities to travellers. In order to
coordinate with these sector's corporation, provides them brokerage for their support Company
has liaising with transportation, if any guest of the hotel requires taxi or bus for site seeing or any
other purpose, then it arranges this facility for them. This helps in making people loyal towards
the brand.
Water, air pollution and wastage are three major environmental issues. Due to increasing
travel air and water are getting polluted and wastage are increasing. Hilton hotel has recycle
policy and it applies this thing in its kitchen department. All the waste material is reused after
recycling it. It has introduced mattress recycling program (Hilton worldwide announces mattress
recycling program, 2012). Under this program it has announced to reuse the mattresses and
boxes rather than sending them to landfills. It has coordinated with New Serta mattress in order
to recycle the waste material into useful products.
Three types of Bins are available in the Hilton hotel; red Garbage bin, yellow recycling
bin and green organic bin. Air-conditioning policy of Hilton hotel is very powerful. In each
season, it sets different temperatures in different seasons so that environment of the place can get
maintained (Where are you going, 2017).
Hilton hotel follow confidentiality, consumer protection and overbooking work ethics.
Cited firm maintain personal information of its customers and do not share it with other. If any
person complains then entity resolve their issues immediately. There is specific customer service
department those which provide immediate help to guests who have any issue.
Hilton hotel strictly follows equal employment opportunity, licence, accreditation
policies. It gives equal chance to all candidates and hire them on the bases of their skills and
education rather than looking at their culture, race or religion. It encourages multicultural
workplace. Cited firm ensures quality by adopting Six Sigma method. Smoking is prohibited in
the organization and if any employee is found doing smoking, then management takes strict
action against the person (Mariani and et.al, 2014).

Hilton hotel uses social media sites for coordinating with consumers, e-business and
online booking system technologies. It gives discounts on Facebook in order to promote its
brand. Hilton hotel also uses Twitter. For managing e-business side cited firm has separate
department where technical sound employees work, they handle e-business on internet. Cited
firm gives option of online booking to customers so that they can book their rooms through
internet (Lipman and et.al, 2012).
Price of Australian dollar was the main issue that has affected overall performance of
Hilton hotel to great extent. Due to fluctuation in currency price income level of the customers
get affected, due to which they were not taking interest in travel. By this way sales volume of the
company gets reduced. It is essential that employees need to be informed for this current issue so
that if management makes changes in operations to attract more consumers than employees
support the authorities and contribute well in the success of business unit (Where are you going?,
2017). In order to update about current issue management should conduct formal meeting with
them.
