Introduction
Tourism is currently the fastest growing industry and it becomes an important part of every
country. The contribution of tourism in the economy of any country is approximately 15% to
20% in growth of economic as well as prosperity. There are various places that generate high
income from worldwide in terms of revenue cohort as well as visitor numbers. It states the social,
cultural and corporeal structures of the international visitor destination that calls the most of the
tourists. There are several matters that have affected the popularity of the visitor destinations.
Every country is famous for different things and in that Spain is famous for its mesmerizing
destination especially in winters. In this report the destination of Spain and why tourists motivate
to come over here. It will also been discussed that what are the competition from other
destinations.
Destination
The research had been made that shows Spain is one of the foremost country in the travel sector
which attract the visitor from all over World. There has been found from the last few years there
is continuous increase in the tourism of Spain. In Accordance with the Data.worldbank.org there
is the 7% increase in the tourists of the country. Spain in terms of incomer performance is better
than the other countries (Guardia & Mendes, 2016). Spain is attractive and cheaper from the
other countries is the reason most of the visitors choose Spain as this destination to visit. A
Merida Roman Theatre, Alhambra and Belchite are the leading destination of Spain which is
developed by government due to sustainable tourism. There are some places like El Escariol,
Baelo Claudia and Monasterio de Piedra are the bottom three places of Spain due to the improper
facilities. There is the risk of decreasing in the growth of the country if proper developing
strategies shall not been taken by the government (Palau-Saumell, Forgas-Coll, Amaya-Molinar,
& Sánchez-García, 2016). There are some destination of Spain that has been top rated that are”-
The Alhambra and General life Gardens, Granada- It gives the highlight if the
Spain’s Islamic period and it is the epitome of culture and civilization Europe’s middle

There are various factors on which tourist have been motivated towards the Spain. There are
various reasons for motivation such as climate, cost, distance, accessibility, package,
opportunities, type of transport and the situation in the country that should been taken into
consideration by the visitors. Spain has also opened the trade barriers with the France as they
both had joined Euro Zone and the removed the control over the borders and checkpoints
between the both nations. It means the people of both countries can easily travel from one
country to another. There are beautiful beaches, mountains and the mountain cities that attract
many tourists to come to Spain. In Spain the key appealing factor is seaside such as Canaries, it
is the group of islands and it is the fourth largest tourist spot in the World. These are Tenerife,
Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote and most of these are mainly volcanic (Guzman-
Parra, Vila-Oblitas, & Maqueda-Lafuente, 2016). The island of Fuerteventura is mostly consist
sandy beaches. The mountains Spanish Pyrenees attracts most of the tourists and it also
motivates most of the tourists that are hiking, skiing to mountain biking. The tourists enjoy the
fresh air and the stunning views and they spend around 7.5 million euro in the year 2018. There
is also city like Madrid which is the capital city of Spain and it is also the heart of the country. It
is a Cosmopolitan city which is the business center that is the home of Spanish Royal Family.
Various great places like museums Prado, Thyssen-Bornemisza and the Reina Sofia. It has been
characterize4d for its intense culture, lively nightlife and artistic activity. According to WTO
fact and figures in 2017 around 1,322 million international tourists visited Madrid. It can be said
according to this that Spain is the center of attraction for many people around the world (Sánchez
Rivero, Sánchez Martín, & Rengifo Gallego, 2016).

The attraction of a country includes heritage homes, historic sites, museums, botanical gardens
halls of fame, aquariums, zoos, casinos, art galleries, amusement parks, water parks, and cultural
attractions. Spain to get succeeds in the competitive environment it is important and for that
attraction sector is very important aspect for the country. The country shall take technology and
internet as these are the opportunities for the country to take advantage (Houdement,Santos, &
Serra, 2017).
It is obvious that the attraction sector is obviously diverse in the Spain but also it is required that
they sector becomes more organized by the policies of government. When the developments in
the attraction sector by the other destination countries are improving that has been giving a tough
competition to Spain. France, Australia, USA, China and Japan are the places which are the
tough competition for the country and the Spain can learn from these countries in adopting the
attraction development policies (Gómez Aguilar,Yagüe Guillén,& Villaseñor Roman,2016).
The Spain government has wished and took the actions for the creation of level playing field
attraction operators. The subsidies had been provided to National Museums and small attraction
of the country so that they can improve their facilities and the tourist can be attracted (Maiz-Bar,
Pardellas, & Padin, 2015).
The Spain attraction competitiveness is very high due to it old heritages that has been a attraction
point for the tourists. There are some of the attraction that has been identified as the risen of
issues from the attraction sector. For the attraction business these issues are specific for the
particular sectors. The small attractions of Spain are facing lot of troubles in competition that
has affected the Spain Tourism in a heavy manner (Gómez, Lopez, & Molina, 2015).

There are various recommendations that has been provided to Spain for improving the tourism in

been reported in the recent that has decreased the number of tourists. Its been
recommended that the Spain can improve the condition and protection in the parks.

There are various protection policies been adopted for the safeguards of animals in the
wildlife sanctuary that is the big attraction for the people
The country must implement the plans for maintaining the clean air and must make an
stoppage to industries near the attraction points that creates pollution.

It has been analyzed that tourism is an important part for any country economic growth. It is
analyzed that tourism creates a lot of income generation for the Spain. The Spain is recognized
as one of the best tourist place of the country. It has been analyzed that there are various things in
Spain that motivate the tourists to choose Spain as a destination. There are various key
attractions in the Spain that the tourist comes for. There are various heritages, caves, museums
