INTRODUCTION Tourist destination is defined as the place, town, city or any area that depends on tourism attraction. Such places are visited by people as they have pleasant and mesmerising attractions and emotions to tourists andtravellers. A tourist destination may consist of one or more tourist attractions and also some tourist traps. There are different factors that influence tourists to visit a place or city. The travel and tourism industry is a developing sector and the main aim of this industry is to provide a good facility for people to travel and have fun.This report will include the role of assistant product manager and the article he has to write for tourist destination of UK is described. In the following report understanding of UK and worldwide destinations, the culture, beliefs and social and physical features and their characteristics are explained. The different aspects are given in this report includes characteristics of destinations affecting the appeal to tourists and identification of strategies for improving tourist destinations. This report contains the concepts related to tourism industry and development of tourist destination. TASK 1 1.1Analyse main tourist destination and generators of the world in terms of visitor numbers and income generation Tourist destination is simply the place or area which is preferred by the tourists for spending their leisure time and enjoying. There are different tourist destinations around the world and specially in UK there are various tourist destination spots that attract a lot of tourists. There is a vigorous change in the environment and business condition and also market conditions are also experienced fluctuating changes. This all has caused changes in tourism and travel industry too. There are different factors and causes for such changes in travel and tourism industry. When weather is favourable, tourists prefer to visit places which have cool temperature.There are a number of tourists which have been increased due to trends of market (Boes, Buhalis, and Inversini, 2015). There are different countries in the world which have various features that attracts tourists. Most of the famous tourist destinations in the world are in United States, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, China, Russia, Mexico, Turkey and Spain. The United Kingdom has a number of tourist destination and the government of this country is maintaining and managing tourists from around the world in a very appropriate and effective manner. According to the statistics France has the highest number of tourists and in terms of numerical
form there are about 79,500,000 tourists in France. Other country which has tourist destination is United States which had around 62,300,000 visitors. UnitedKingdom is the seventh country which attracts tourists. There are around 29,200,000 visitors in this country last year. On the other hand, Spain is on fourth position in terms of number of tourists i.e. 56,700,000 tourists. The increase in number of touristsreflects increase in the economic growth of the company. This helpsingeneratingmoreincomeandalsoemploymentopportunitiesareincreased.The following table shows the position of these countries in the list of top destination countries of 2018. This shows increasing in trends and effectiveness of these countries towards attracting tourists and famous tourist destination of some countries. This good treatment and well cultured welcome helps in building image and reputation in front of people. The various facilities available for tourists in United Kingdom for visitors include transportation facilities, communication facilities, accommodation facilities and renting services. This location is safe and secure and this attracts people to freely enjoy there. The social factors include quality of life, role of women and children and literacy rate. Whitechapel is a place which is poor but it has a number of scenic places. This city has cope up with its poverty and it has developed very fast and all museums which are related to art work have been established. People visit York and Liverpool because of business exposures and meetings but in case of Whitechapel, there is no opportunity for business and no scope for business expansion hence no person travels there for business expansion. It is advisable for government of Whitechapel to enhance opportunities of business so that there is a growth in development of business as well as travellers. Whitechapel needs a goodbusiness strategy and development of city for attracting a lot of customers and become competitive like York and Liverpool (Jovicic, 2019). Some of the factors and characteristics are mentioned below- Popularity and promotional techniques– The popularity of an area or place determines the number of visitors or tourists because popularity is the main reason for people to travel to a place. There should be good and effective marketing techniques used by WhiteChapel to spread information of this place and city among the people. These different issues are described below - Change in the climatic conditions -The change in climatic condition of a destination influences the health of tourists and this is not suitable for each kind of tourist. Such changes have negative as well as positive impact on the tourist destination. Natural disasters- These affects the activity of each and every place or area. This affects negatively the popularity of tourists at a particular place. Tourists and travel industry is not directly affected by the natural disasters. If an earthquake occurs in a particular area then it adversely affects the popularity of the destination. Political issues– Different political issues developa situation of war or riots in a particular country. This is harmful for interest of tourists because these issues result in closure of areas of the place. In case of any attacks all people are told to stay at home and nobody is allowed to move out. Such condition is not at all good fer an effective tourist destination.

The responsible tourism depends uponthe tourism planning and development. This tourism can be promoted in developing countries because this provides an opportunity for such countries to develop their economies. There are basically three type of tourism planning and development which includes environmental, economical and social impact. The increase in tourism has benefited the economy for short term. On the other hand, this has long term negative social and environmental impact. A responsible tourism is essential for developing long term as well as short term growth and sustainability. The responsible tourism includes responsibility towards society and committed towards environmental aspects and the group of local people in the activity for development of tourism (Su, and et.al., 2019). It can be stated that a responsible tourism development reaches the demands of visitors and host region. This protects and enhances various opportunities for future growth and development. This helps in effective management of all the resources for the fulfilment of the needs of all tourists. This means maintaining and
developing cultureintegrity, environmental balance and biological diversity. In this report three cities are discussed naming Whitechapel, York and Liverpool and Whitechapel isnot a well known tourists place thus it is important for country to enhance its characteristics and features to enhance tourism in this area.
