INTRODUCTIONTourist destination is related to a place where people like to visit. Various reasons arethere which will make the people attracted towards visiting these places. It is an important sectorwhich makes the highest contribution in the growth of the country (Alegre and Garau, 2010).The present report is based on TUI Group which is one of the multinational travel and tourismcompanies headquartered in Hannover, Germany (About us, 2016). It is the largest travel andtourism business entity in the world and also owns travel agencies, hotels, airlines, cruise shipsand retail stores. The report explains number of visits for different places for the variouspurposes. Other than this, cultural, social and physical features of developing and leading touristdestinations are explained. In addition to this, a detailed description about currently developingtourist destinations is done. At last, issues are described which affect popularity of the differenttourist destinations. TASK 11.1) Identifying number of visitors, nights and spending by purpose and by country of visitThere are mainly five destinations described which are the most famous and known forits uniqueness and different places (Baggio, 2011). These destinations are UK, Spain, China,Russia and US. These are known as the most attractive places as people like to visit there in freetime for any purpose. United Kingdom: UK is known for the architecture and cultural values. Mostly peoplelike to visit UK to know about the cultural heritage of the country. The attractions of thecountry are Big Ben, British museum, Buckingham palace and Tower of London.However, London is the capital of UK. The most popular amusement park in the world isalso in UK which is the main center of attraction for people. In 2014, more than 32.6million people came to UK for different kinds of purpose which played an important rolein creating annual income of around 45.3 billion (Beritelli, 2011). Other than this, thecountry is also working on improving its tourist destinations as they are spending morethan 57.6 billion on tourism development. The number of International tourist arrivals areincreased by 4 % and reached at the record of 1.2 billion in 2015 (Bornhorst, Ritchie andSheehan, 2010).
