them
There are various types of resorts in existing business environment that are engaged in providing
their services to a large number of customers all around the globe. Furthermore, these different
types of resorts are as follows:
Spa Resorts
This particular classification of resorts which are based upon providing spa services to
their customers. For instance, it includes massages, mineral spa, manicures, saunas, etc. which
are major attraction of customers visiting these resorts. Moreover, all these services related to spa
provides a soothing experience to customers as well as contributing additional values towards
fulfilment of personal needs and requirements (Wang, Zhu and Fei, 2020).
Products and services: The main highlights of services provided by spa resorts is
inclusive of Body massages, Therapy, Face treatments (exfoliation, masks, and peels),
Body treatments (aqua therapy, body polish, body wrap), Acupressure, etc. Furthermore,
additional amenities offered in these resorts include swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Ice
fountain, etc. which facilitates in providing customers with delightful experience.

Rock resort includes AC bedrooms that are very comfortable and luxury.
Accommodation services includes Villas provided by hotel on rent, these villas have all
type of amenities which are helpful in seeking attention of key customers. Along with
these, the Hard Rock Resort also includes fine dining restaurants that are present inside
the hotel. These restaurants offer best continental dishes to customers and provide
delicious drinks too. Hotel also offers a roof top bar which provides different flavoured
juices, Champagne and cocktails
Challenge: The major of challenge faced by Spa resorts include, lack of professional
massagers for taking care of needs of every customer. The expert and professional
massagers are hard to find out by the hotel as they are less in numbers. It is major role of
recruitment department of the hotel to hire best massagers in order to provide quality
services to customers (Sangpikul, 2022).
Operational Issues: Primary of operational requirements in Spa resorts include
maintenance of equipment including massage tables, reclining chairs, pedicure stations,
etc. which are required in routine activities and practices. The need of staff is another
operational issue for the resort which will help the resort to overcome key weaknesses
related to operational issues. The staff which is needed to develop Spa functions will
include a receptionist, massagers, front office manager and four helpers. In order to hire
this staff, human resource management will play a significant role. The retention of
employees is also important for the organisation which can be done by providing
effective and precise salary and perks to the staff. The equipment maintenance is one of
the most major issues which should be considered by the resort. Depreciation on the
equipment should be applied by financial management in order to find out their correct
value. The cost of the equipment should be estimated by preparing a budget and their
maintenance should be performed by business entity with the help of planning and
strategic frameworks.

be included in one fee (Cvelic-Bonifacic et al., 2017). Many packages additionally incorporate
hotel transportation and flights to ensure that tourists are completely satisfied.
Products and services: An all-inclusive vacation is one that covers all of the basics in the price
of the reservation. Visitors may anticipate food, beverages, entertainment, and enjoyment being
included in the package not needing to pay more.
Challenge: Because all-inclusive resorts are designed to provide everything on-site, there is little
incentive for guests to venture beyond their hotel to support local businesses. This frequently
results in closures when smaller, locally-owned businesses fail to benefit from the increased
visitor inflow.
Operational issue: All-inclusive resorts have been chastised for a variety of reasons, ranging
from harsh circumstances for local employees due to low pay and small contracts to having a
detrimental influence on the environment due to water/food waste, pollutants, and excessive
energy usage.
Ski Resorts
This particular classification of resorts include businesses engaged in providing
adventurous activities to their customers. For instance, these adventurous and fun activities
include Skiing, Ice skating, snowboarding, and other winter sports. In addition to that, these
resorts are located at high hill stations or places with extremely cold weather where people could
experience snowfall (Wu, Zheng and Wang, 2020).
Products and services: Offerings of these resorts include Alpine skiing, Off-piste skiing,
Cross country skiing, Freestyle skiing, Paragliding, Cross Country racket trekking, Ice
skating and many more. For instance, target customers of these resorts are people in
society with preference towards winter sports. Though, these resorts have limited and
small F&B options available to customers due to environmental conditions. The
customers of the resort enjoy the facilities and a dedicated restaurant is also provided by
resort. The dedicated restaurant and bar provides delicious food and beverages to
customers. On the other hand the resort is also having a Nightclub which includes live
dance facilities. The resort also had Ski and Snowboard schools in order to teach the
