1Tragic Event of 9/11 The tragic event of September 11, 2001, is marked in the red list and is regarded as one of the most horrendous day in the history of the world. The World Trade Centre of the America, the tallest building of the world, at that point of time. The destruction was high and the world still talks about that unfortunate event till date. For us, the Americans, the event was the worst of our nightmares. We still remember and mourn for the people we had lost. Therefore, in the paper, the measures and steps taken by the government of the country as well as the measures taken by the local government bodies and the common people of the country. The American Boeing, with 20,000 gallons of fuel crashed against the 80thfloor of the 110 storied building that made a burning hole in the history of the country killing hundreds of people and endangering thousands of lives. Around 2,996 people were dead in the mishap. The unfortunate event affected the country from all the aspects, socially, economically and politically and took the country some time to stand erect on itself. The American government had taken some prompt actions to control and mend the situations. Steps taken by the American Government: The attack of 9/11, aggravated the investigations on the part of the country upon he terrorist activities that were ongoing in Afghanistan and parts of Iraq. The government of America promptly had taken measures to fund the families that were majorly affected by the horrifying event and focused on rebuilding the Lower Manhattan and effectively took measures towards the terrorist activities and waged war on terrorism. Within hours of the attack, the country had launched a massive search and rescue mission. Over 350 rescue dogs were sent to rescue the ones who were trapped in the building, although a handful of the members could be saved. The whole process of rescue and recovery

The terrorist attacks on the twin tower had put the country in a vulnerable position since it was the financial hub of the country, controlling the economic behaviour and Sensex of the country (Miller, 2019). Therefore, the attack had essentially made the country economically handicap. It was not until May 2002, that the country could clean up the mess. In 2002, the country was again seen to be standing upright. Thecountryalsoannouncedfirimmediatefundingprocedurefortheaffected families. The other states had come together to deal with the situation. Relief funds and financial assistance were set up by the government of the country for the suffered families. Also the local government bodies also came together to help the affected families. The government had taken a holistic approach to deal with the situation. The propensity of the attack was quite large, hence the government had declared the suffered to apply for relief, and by 2003 the country had rightly accounted and provided funds to the families of the victims (Thompson, 2019). Further, the country had waged war on terrorism with the aim of bringing justice by the abolishment of al-Qaeda and trying to putting a stop on the emergence of the terrorist activities. They included economic and military sanctions and sharing global intelligence and including global surveillance across in order to appropriate their goals to fight against the war. The governmenthad launched the ‘HomelandSecurity Council’and passed the ‘Homeland Security Act’, in 2002 (Miller, 2019). Present Scenario: The 1% Islam population of the country, is still perceiving the after effects of the event. The Muslims of the country, were faced with brutal aggression and were harassed and

Although, after 18 years of the even, the positions of the Islam population of the country are at a better place, however, they are stil faced with harassments by the population. The Homeland Security of the country, is still working at the three aims, that it took, which are, minimizing the risks that the country is faced with, maximising the defence system of the country and maintaining the spirit of nation across the country, even at a situation where the country at a mess up situation, politically. The terrible event had shaken the very core of the country. It ignited certain issues of security of the country and its people, and setting up and maintaining an adapt disaster management system in the country, which can perform promptly in such desperate situations. Today America is the largest economy of the world controlling intelligence across the world. Therefore, it can be said that the event of 9/11 had changed the approaches and outlook of the country.
