INTRODUCTION
Training and development is the important and effective term which is very often used in
businesses for improve skills and performance of employees. This plays an important role within
the organization because with the help of these employees are highly able to meet the goals and
objectives of company. The present report is based on “ASDA” which is British multinational
retails super market. The company is deals in various products and services in order to satisfy
needs and wants of customers. The company is also requires training for their employees. In
respect of that, report will explain the training needs for an organization in different level within
the organizational structure. This will describe organization needs to consider identify its training
needs. This will plan suitable development activities for a training programme and delivering
activities from training programme. At the end of report it will conduct the review of success of a
training programme.

1.1 Explain the needs of training to organization are linked to the different level.
Focused and successful businesses have a clear goals and objectives detailing their vision
and goals which they wish to achieve all those over a set period (Mohammed and Dawood,
2018). The training programme needs to be aligned to these objectives through that workforce
have proper and improved correct skills. The company ASDA have needs of training and
development programme for their improve skills of employees at different level within the
organizational structure. Company follows hierarchy functional structure. For that company
needs to take proper follows up.
Strategic level:
The main reason for start training which from strategic level. In that business have a
focus to linked up with organization objectives. The have objective is to provide goods and
services at affordable price and reducing packaging is another key objective of ASDA. In this
level employer is provided excellent training about product knowledge and customers services
skills help to increase profit and to become a successful market leader.
Operational level:
Main reason for training needs to broken down into various operational areas of business
like productivity, promotion, workforce flexibility and application of new technology(Frascaroli,

Gozzoli and D'Angelo, 2016). Example, to introduce planning session for promotion is help to
equip those within the workforce have the potential for employees of ASDA.
Departmental level:
In the company have various departments in which they have needs to provide training
like marketing, HR, finance and production. In respect of marketing department, training
organize for selling team how to sale product and services to customers with objective is to meet
needs and sales to target customers. This help to attract more customers towards company.
Individual level:
Business experience have a continue changes and updating the individual may need a
proper knowledge and training for improving their skills. In this also ASDA requires training
based on their specific needs (Strickland, 2018). There are various reason for this are application
of new technology, new equipment, introduce new product and services and new job role.
Example: the company ASDA decide to use new technology in Human resource system, in that
employees requires training to use this technology.
Those are the needs of training at different level related to organizational structure of
company ASDA. With the help of these employees are able to hard efforts tom achieve goals and
objectives of company in effective manner.

Various factors that influence the training need of the Asda Company.
Employee Efficiency: Employee efficiency of the Asda Limited is among the major reason to
identify the training need of the company related to all its employees. Training programs conduct
to improve the employee knowledge and professional skill that enables the employee to perform
more efficiently in the organization (Jain, Newman and Montes, 2017). Training also upgrade the
technical skills of all the employee in the company. The management of the Asda Limited can
observe about the work efficiency of all the individual employee in the company and also
analyse about the effectiveness related to the employee efficiency based on the productivity
standard. Based on the employee efficiency and performance the management of the Asda
Limited can identify the training need of the company and also about what kind of training needs
to be conducted.

Industry related needs: Industry related factor is also play the crucial role while identifying
about the training need of the company. The management of the Asda Limited can analyse about
the technical and professional efficiency of the company as per the industry standards. Industry
related needs also involve the brief knowledge about the retail sector in all the employee of the
company. Based on the factors associated with the industry related needs the management of the
company can analyse about the training needs of the company related to all its work force.
Job related need: Job related needs involve the training programs related to the job role in the
company. The management of the company can analyse that all the training programs of the
company is capable enough to provide the skilled work force related to each job role of the
company.
Task related need: Many times the entire job is segregated into various tasks. The management
of the Asda Limited evaluate the training need based on what task role needs a training program.
Individual tasks involve in the job put a huge impact on the overall efficiency from the respective
job (Padmasiri, 2018). To improve the job efficiency a company can conduct a training program
based on the tasks involved in such a job. Task related need involved the brief analysis of the
factor involved in doing such a job. Also involve observation about the skills require for
conducting each activity involve in such a job. Based on all the factors involved in task related
need the management of the Asda Limited can analyse about the training need of the company.
Training Cost: Training cost is among the major factors to be considered while identifying the
training need of the company (Prytz, Rybing and Jonson, 2016). Training cost involve design
and development cost, required time off from work, travel and accommodation expense of all the
trainee and stationary cost. Mainly all the above costs are involved in conducting the whole
training program for the company. The management of the company can analyse about the
output of the training program based on the training cost for the company. Based on the benefits
generated from the training program a training needs must be evaluated by the management.

management to analyse about the effectiveness of the training program.
Technical Review: Based on the technical aspects of the training program technical review will
be conducted (Satish and et.al.,2019). The effect of the training over the technical knowledge of
all the employee will be analysed by the company management as per the practices of all the
employee after the implementation of the training program. Technical review will guide about
the technological awareness of all the employee involve in the training.

Behaviour Analysis: In this process the company management will analyse about the
behavioural changes in all the employee involved in the training program. Based on the
behaviour analyse about both the stages pre training and post training the company management
will review about all the behavioural benefits from the training program. Training program will
impact the behaviour of all the trainee in the positive or negative manner and the company
management can review the impact with the behaviour analysis.
Professional Review: The company management will observe about all the changes in the
professional approach of all the trainees. As per the impact in the approaches of the employee the
company management will review about the development from the training program. This
process also involve the analysis of the attitude change of the employee after the training. Based
