Face-to-Face Meetings
Me:Good Morning! I am glad to welcome you to the meeting. Thank you for attending the
session. Can we call this meeting to order?
Learner: Yes
Me:Now, tell me, what are the issues you are facing while working within the organization?
Learner:I am much weak in solving the problems by myself. I was appointed with a project
where it was necessary for me to deal with the team members effectively. However, I was
unable to solve the issues, which reduced the collaboration level among the team members. I
was not properly communicating with others, whichalsoled to various
confusionsandconflicts. What should I do now to improve my problem-solving skills?
Me: Okay! It seems that you are well aware of your weaknesses, which makes you face
various issues and problems within the organization. Can you please clarify some of the
instances that occurred within the organization while you were dealing with your project?
Learner:Sure, One day, I was working on my desk with that project, when suddenly one of
the team members came and told me that there are some issues with the project and the client
is angry. At that time, rather than working and solving the issues of the project, I
waspanicked and pissed off.
Me: I think that it is much required for you to inculcate problem-solving skills so that you
can enjoy your work and resolve it effectively without getting panicked or confused.
Learner: How can I inculcate those skills into myself?
Me:I will suggest you meditate daily. It will help you to increase your concentration level,
and you will be able to identify the root cause of issues to work on it effectively. Five steps
are there which will help you to solve the problems effectively. At first, it is necessary for
you to determine the actual problems and issues within your work. Moreover, after short-
listing the problems or issues, it is necessary for you to brainstorm the possible solutions.
Learner: How can I get the possible solutions?
Me: Coming to that point, you can find out the possible solutions by effectively doing
research. You can ask your leaders, managers, or any senior-level executives. Discussion
