My paper will focus on the importance of family involvement in transition planning as it relates to post-secondary success of high school special education students. The rubric and directions are attached. There is no specified word count or page number requirement. Five references are required. Three are to be peer reviewed articles on the topic and two websites as explained in the directions. The QI results are quality indicators based on my own assessment of my school district's special education program. The domain area on the QI results that I am focusing on is Family Involvement. I can help find the articles if I'm needed to do so. I just don't have time to write the paper by its due date of Thursday night.

A. Introduction:
The research will be conducted on the critical impact of family involvement in the
transition plan. Youth, along with family involvement during the transition plan, is the
essential elements to establish a successful strategy. The support from the family is vital in
anyone’s life primarily constitutes a powerful as well as the preventive mechanism, which
will benefit to the young population. It will influence the success of young people and will
correct the systems in their household, along with societies. Therefore, most of the parents of
the young generation has transformed into correctional facilities and are getting less involved
in their children education. That may result from insufficient information or understandable
data regarding the whole of juvenile justice approach. In this way, this may rise to life-
stressors or any unnecessary problems that may frequently affect parents’ capabilities to take
part in the system of education for the young generation. The primary purpose of this
research is to provide relevant details as well as the desired consequences after the quality
indicator test and evaluating three articles and two websites.
1. The barriers of Family Involvement:
Therefore, the family involvement is primarily significant in the post-secondary
school success of young generation, who are suffering from disabilities, will experience less
education and employment opportunities. Those students, who are not dealing with any
disabilities, will get more opportunities. Most of the families remain silent in their part, and
the school-home partnership does not develop among the children and their parents. There
can be various reasons for which these misunderstandings can grow, such as, cultural issues,
linguistics along with a diverse range of families. The most crucial reason behind such a
problem has been disclosed after various researches, and that is perceptions of the family
members. In this way, it may create a barrier to a change from schooling to adulthood. That
may also result in the involvement in transition planning. Therefore, family involvement is
necessary for special education by utilising various theories that may provide desired
solutions and recommendations for further researches and implementation in real life.
2. The quality indicator:
Therefore, a quality indicator was conducted through a survey to gather a relevant and
valid score. It is included in the transition assessment that may help in gathering all the
details regarding all the problematic areas, especially in the domain of family involvement.
The primary field which is family involvement, has occupied a score of 3.17 out of 5. In this

way, this may lead to fewer chances of improvement in that domain, and hence it also reveals
the strengths and weaknesses. The other aspects have been performing quite well like the
needs of the family members, support system from them, and in transition planning meetings
are the essential parts that have been unaffected. These areas have helped to understand that
family involvement is still strong and well-structured at various levels. The other pieces need
a lot of efforts and participation to develop their ways. The pre-planning events have been
struggling as well because most of the family members did not pay attention or effective
inputs to gather their fundamental interests towards the meetings so that they can understand
the weaker parts appropriately.
3. The analysis of the score:
Family involvement reached a rating of 3.17 out of 5, and hence, both strengths and
weaknesses will be evaluated and will be analysed under this domain. The necessities of the
family members, as well as a support system, will be considered in transition planning. Some
specific areas needed more attention towards attaining better results such as involvement of
family members in transition planning has gained 2 out of 5,8, and the members of the family
are participating in the process of transition planning throughout the whole process has won 2
out of 5. The other parts have earned 4 and 3 respectively, that identifies immense strength in
those parts such as family involvement in transition meetings and generating tremendous
support. Rest can be considered and can be developed with time but these two specific areas
needed more engagement and help in their betterment. Thus, more participation from the
members of the family is required to conduct the transition process successfully.

such as parents, family members, and even guardians of adopted children. The primary focus
of this website is to focus on parents and to provide effective services and support to those
families. All the information has been collected and created through parent centres all around
the countries (Parentcenterhub.org, 2020). They have formed parent centre staff members
along with other experts so that they can provide adequate resources and could develop
parent centres’ knowledge along with valid resources. In the parent centre hub, all types of
family-friendly data, as well as research-based materials, are readily available as per the key
topics are concerned. There are private workspaces, which can be used during exchanging the
resources especially while discussing the high-level issues. These will help to solve the
mutual limitations of the desired topics (Parentcenterhub.org, 2020). Training activities,
twice-monthly issues along with e-newsletter, specific events and materials are given and
shared among the family members. Then, surveys are organized to gather recent approaches

objectives such as learning about certain rights and responsibilities for the individuals with
disabilities education act (IDEA). They are providing effective and informed decisions of
one’s child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP). The website helps in distributing
effective services to one’s child (Frcd.org, 2020). In this way, it will help the parents to

coordinating with school professionals. Therefore, parents share their concerns, issues and

by throwing light on their productivity as well as independent adult life (Frcd.org, 2020).
They provide a lot of resources like assistive technology, disability laws, emergency
preparedness, behavioural and emotional disorders, early intervention along with
employment. They also provide scholarships, medical needs, guardianship resources and so

children to rectify their mistakes and could understand their actual responsibilities.
3. Summary of Findings:
The three articles were quite easy to evaluate as well as to discuss the primary causes
of the family involved, but there was a slightly different in each of the researches. Most of the
children have been suffering from certain kinds of disabilities that tend to bring them down
from their respective dreams and goals. Therefore, all the summaries of the articles have
contributed different perspectives of the authors and have regularly challenged their
limitations. It may turn out to be challenging to handle but ultimately, and will help in
developing their working skills and adopting effective methods to recover their weaknesses.
There were many activities and respective outcomes that may showcase various
activities. The authors have claimed that there are quite a few changes that may help those
children to establish their professional standards. Most of the researches have stated that
young children will face more challenges and parents will never be able to fix their problems
if they do not engage themselves in their particular issues.
The most common aspects are family involvement is quite low, and it should be
higher in every aspect. Adequate support from families will become somewhat stronger their
bond and will allow them to reach their respective goals. Family involvement is necessary to
handle the transition plan among children with disabilities successfully. In short, the
processes may have been difficult to reach the desired outcomes.
The websites have been quite useful as it will benefit the parents in the long run and
may also solve their undesired issues. Therefore, the most essential aspects that gathered the
eyeballs is their resources that will secure a better future for those children by following their

parents in the long race. The websites also their perspectives by showing various types of
issues that parents are facing or have faced in the previous years. In this way, it will help
them to understand the underlying problems and will help them to deal with it appropriately.
They are ready to offer many training activities that will help the family members to gather
more knowledge about their children, especially to help them out to meet their bright future.
Therefore, the overall researches were quite useful because it focuses on the primary
domain of family involvement, but there are some common topics. Most of them have failed
to discuss the essential processes and training that are required for engaging the parents. The
articles have discussed the roles of parents, issues faced by children and societal issues. Some
young individuals have been suffering from certain kind of disabilities in correctional
facilities. It is essential to assure that the families need to understand their legal rights as well
as obligations to track the logistical limitations. The limitations may rise during the
involvement with the juvenile justice system. The question arises here, the preparation
process of the transition plan and application of the methods.
Thus, as the above researches are concerned, two things that can be highly effective
and they are training session for the parents and engaging them with more knowledge about
the disabilities. In this case, children need special education but most importantly care so that
they can achieve their desired successes in the upcoming years. The application process will
be conducted, such as understanding the process of transition, addressing their position
according to their roles, and lastly effective communication that will help them to draw their
respective conclusion. The school authority should not apply more strictness, and they should
consider their problems. Thus, essential data will be collected along with proper coordination;
children along with their family members, will be able to digest the activities and will be able
to prepare them accordingly.
