1)Pros and cons of switching systems
By deciding on the alternative status quo, it is meant that the company should keep their
approach on a lean manufacturing outcome or philosophy. Reducing inventory cost is the
ultimate goal for which improvements are made. Spartan building shows the present shows hard
times in operations area.
Pros
1. The personel could have enough experience in lean production and more aware of
possible solutions to implement in the near future
2. It reduces the risks that will come along with alternative approaches
3. Has cheaper alternatives in improving and obtaining greater benefits
4. The top management could realize the loyalty of the suppliers , employers and
customers in tough situations.
Disadvantages (Con’s)
1. Increase in inventory prices for Sparta building due to changes in purchasing
department
2. Increase in raw material administrative costs, transportation costs and expediting
costs.

4. Lack of middle level management and increase in cost of operations due to
