1MODR1770 Argument Assignment Part2:Abortion The aim of this paper is to build an argument against the fact that abortion should be legalized. According to several other studies abortion is ethically correct in case of rape as well as for unwanted pregnancy. Although considering all of these aspects I am building an argument against the legalizing abortion as abortion is such practice by which a fetus could be killed. In other words it can be stated that abortion is a process of killing human being as fetus develops a human. Followed by this consideration it is identified that as the fetuses does not belongs to any other species thus, the fetuses can be considered as human who has their own rights to live. Hence, it can be argued that fetuses are comes under the human rights and it is entirely unethical to kill a life as it has its own right to live (Hanschmidt et al.,2016). Whereas according to the argument that supports abortion rape’s result is pregnancy and transmission of the sexually transmitted diseases. In case of STI, one should look for medication, however if this is pregnancy, then one should be compelled for carrying it when not ready for it. Such people who are yet not prepared for pregnancy are to experience difficulty during the time of pregnancy and delivery that puts line in danger (Cornell, 2016). Trauma and pain to carry pregnancy as rape’s result, giving birth to child as well as taking care of child is way too much. Victim suffers when she is not responsible for such results. In such case abortion could be an option for recovering for such torture. However, abortion would not be best alternative for such cases. The child could be aborted through medication or surgery, however the pain and trauma of the incident would be stuck inside her forever. There are few times when few complications might arise while pregnancy putting life of both mother as well as child in danger. On few occasions when these incidents take place, both the mother as well as her child did not survive (Jones & Jerman, 2017). Attempt should be made in saving mother if there is no possibility of saving both mother as well as her child. Only way that remains of other medication techniques is abortion. However, apart from the above mentioned reasons women could have abortions for several reasons that are related to achieve life goals also (Jatlaoui, et al., 2018). Another reason for abortion to be found is mitigating unintended pregnancy’s effect on course plans of life. Women felt carrying unintended pregnancy could interfere with the plans abs abortion could help them in achieving personal goals. For such reason, doctors should not be allowed for abortion unless it is an emergency case. Keen look into cases of abortion from several countries all over the globe indicates there is steady increase in abortion irrespective of the law.Cook (2019) has argued that Doctors should only be given permission for performing abortion unless it is an emergency case. It has been costing people lives, especially for the mother who fears that they would be reprimanded by parents or peers for getting pregnant or not ready in taking responsibility to be mother. Jones & Jerman (2017)has also argued against abortion by stating that abortion is completely wrong as no matter what the purpose of the action is but it is basically killing humans
2MODR1770 like you and me, which should not be entertained at all. On the other hand the supporter has also stated that killing a fetus is not as same as killing a human. Along with this according toMcMahon & Ní Ghráinne (2018)when abortion is allowed by law then this becomes possible to doctors in providing proper advice for those about to procure abortion. In that sense, abortion would be done after assessment of situation as this doesn’t become routine foe several people with unintended pregnancy. Followed by the above considerations it is identified that that there are several other considerations present which relates to ethical and moral issues. While considering the concern of morality it is very prominent that in case women do not want to get pregnant should the take prior action but not take any action after getting pregnant. And while analyze this with respect to ethical considerations it is also very prominent that abortion is considered as murder as this has the potential to kill a human which has its own privileges to live. However, several studies has argued that using the term murder is not at all good for activities like abortion as it could impact the social impression of the activity.
