INTRODUCTION
In the present competitive marketplace, various types of business organisation perform
their functions within the area of United Kingdom. In this context, Travel and tourism sector is
considered as one of the fastest leading industry which influence the economic system of a
country in an effective manner (Aminudin and Jamal, 2019). I the present report, TUI group is
chosen as a travel & tourism business entity. It is an organization which is an Anglo German
Tourism organisation generally operates its business functions at international level. This is the
report which is based on key milestones in the improvement of T&T industry with various
factors as well as their relation with the tourist experience.
TASK 1
P1. Key milestones in the development of the travel & tourism sector
It has been identified that, last few decades are very crucial for Travel & Tourism
Industry due to high use of social media large number of individuals will be able to know about
various exotic as well as adventurous destinations. With the assistance of this, total number of
travellers increased as individuals travel for various reasons such as religion, trading,
entertainment and many more. Whereas, it has been said that in order to develop the travel &
tourism sector it consumes lot of time as well as this might generate various milestones. All
these things help them in order to satisfy needs and wants of consumer in an effective manner. It
has been analysed that in 1936, Billy Bulletin establish their very first holiday camp in Skegness
& in the year 1938 an act was introduced which was holiday pay act which works as a
foundation stone in the Travel & Tourism sector within United Kingdom (Asongu and et. al.,
2019).
Furthermore, it has also been identified that in the year 1952 a very first airline take place
which was Jet Airline. It is a company which provides such type of service and provide best and
most suitable experience to the customers. In addition to this, if talking about Britain it has been
concluded that in the year 1960, number of travellers increases in case of domestic holidays as
large number of individuals start traveling and visiting different and new places for various
reasons.
Furthermore, it has also been identified that another milestone which came in front of the
world is that in 2001 EasyJet started supporting visitors which as a result enhance the overall

profitability of the company around 71.6 million. Reason behind this is that it is an airline
service which help almost 11.4 million travellers in order to travel the whole world in an
appropriate manner (Brauer, R., Dymitrow, M. and Tribe, 2019).
Therefore, it has been concluded that in a very small period of time travel & tourism
sector grabbed ample number of opportunities which as a result produce huge amount of funds in
a limited period of time.
P2 Examine various elements of travel & tourism industry as well as explore how they interrelate
to develop the tourist experience.
In today’s world, it has been identified that there are various number of factors such as
weather, historical, scenic attractions, accommodation, accessibility, safety and security, cultural
factors and many more which highly influence the travel and tourism industry in both positive as
well as negative manner (Cohen and Cohen, 2019). Some of the most essential element are
going to be discussed as follows:
Pleasant weather or climate:
Every individual persons make trips according to the suitability of atmosphere so that
they can take positive experience from their trip. It has also been identified that most of the
travellers prefers opposite whether from where they belong as they wants to gather new and
pleasant experience. In addition to this, travel and tourism companies develop different packages
as per the changing seasons so that they grab attention of large number of customers towards
them (Dogru, Isik and Sirakaya-Turk, 2019).
Historical & cultural factors:
There are different components of travel & tourism industry, which highly influence the
result in both negative as well as positive way on the perception and mind-sets of various
travellers who wants to gain experience among new destinations. In the present context of TUI
Group, company provide different types of holiday packages to their customers so that they will
be able to enhance their profitability at competitive marketplace.
With the help of above analysis, it has been concluded that customers simultaneously
emphasis on various factors such as safety and security, accommodation, amenities and many
more so that they gain best experience within a short period of time.

CONCLUSION
With the help of above discussion it has been concluded that travel & tourism sector need
to face various elements such as weather/ climate, historical as well as cultural factors which
might create both positive and negative impacts. All these needs to be considered effectively so
that they gain various advantages at the marketplace.
