INTRODUCTION
Travel and tourism is the practice of visiting different regions of the ocuntry in order to
maximise the economy which helps in extending the economic relationship within countries or
regions. This practice brings financial benifits to the visited place in exchange of its travelling
and staying locations. The report will consists of key strengths by adopting the eliments of
Gallup and Johari's window theories. The study will also provide application of such theories in
acheiving growth and development of travel and tourism in terms of aspired career. It will also
describe history, value and ethics of different organisations which is dealing in the same field.
The report will also provide some evidances which prove that networking helps getting more
knowledge in the field of travel and tourism and this study will also reflect some networking
events which helps in dealing with such issues.
1. Key strengths in travel and tourism by applying Clifton Gallup strengths and Johari's window
theories.
Travel and tourism is one of the world's most progressive industry which contributes the
largest part in the GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of the coutry. This concept basically arrived
from the visiting practices of people in which a visitor is referred as a traveler who is taking a
trip away or outside from the usual environment (Becker, 2016). For this purpose strangers and
travelers who travels different parts of the world need proper tourist guider who help them to
avail the optimum staying facalities and also for proper guidance about different tourist places to
visit in the regions. In this situation different topurism companies are easily approachable who
provides all such facalities in order to perform commercial practices.
In order to acheive more profits and growth of travel and tourism organisations, various
key strengths are needed such as strong communication, planning and organising ability, proper
knowledge about tours and its destinations and effective leadership qualities. These key strengths
are acheived by the application of Clifton Gallup strength and Johari's window theory (Vellas,
2016). Main purpose of introducing these theories are as follows:
Clifton Gallup Strengths finder theory and Johari' window theory
Gallup strengths finder mainly focus in finding talents of the people while Johari window
theory helps in building confidence in order to attract large number of tourists and travellers.
Clifton theory mainly consists of implementation of Four elements in the field of tours and
travelling such elements are Strategic thinking, Executing Influencieng and relationship building.

While Johari's window theory have focussed in the acheivement of four windows which are
such as Open area, blind area, hidden area and unknown area (Boniface, Cooper and Cooper,
2016). These elememnts helps in acheiving the successfull growth as it provides some themes in
order to deal effectively with customers. Its themes includes, activator, adaptability, analytical,
arranger,belief, command communication, competition etc. Acheiver which describes the
constant need of acheiving whereas Adaptablity leads to acquiring the strong communication
abilities ot deal with customers.

2. Application of theories in achieving career growth
Theories help in understanding the main purpose of operating tourism and travelling
industries. Its mainly help in acheiving the themes and windows in order to maximise the
economic capabilities of thecountry.
Application of Clifton Gallu strength finding: Application of this theory helps in balancing
the need to treat the people. This theory have explained various themes which aimed at managing
the person who is talented enough to maintain the knowledge about 34 general areas. These
talents can be considered as pattern of thoughts, behavior, feelings which are applied
productively in order to acheive successful growth and acheivement in travel and tourism sector.
This concept help in building one's strength areas. This theory usually helps in developing the

et.al., 2015). Fourth quadrant help in sharing any positive or negative aspects with agents of the
company. It might be behaviour, feeling or persnality. Application of this theory helps in dealing
with the comprehensive study about one's behaviour. This helps in developing one's faith and
interest which attracts large customers and it will be resulted in acheiving the career growth of

provided comparison of elements such as history, values and ethics between different companies
dealing in travelling and tourism sector. This research had also focussed in role of networking
