The travel and tourism is the most growing business
sector all over the world. The many of the individuals
and group of individuals are fond of travelling to the
different destinations in group of families or
individually. The rise in the travel and tourism have
increase the emergence of the travelling agencies and
businesses which provides the facilities to the clients
of accommodation, travelling tickets and many more.
The increase of this sector have lead to the
development of tourist destination.

2.1Analyse the function of government, government-sponsored
bodies and international agencies in travel and tourism.
The government and government bodies plays a
significant role in travel and tourism sector. There is a
necessary for the government to take part in the travel
and tourism as and because of the international
visitors and domestic visitors among the country. The
government bodies regulates the working of the travel
and tourism sector to protect them from crimes and
terrorism. To flourish the travel and tourism sector
government bodies involves in the functioning of the
sector.

Government role in sector:- The government plays
a significant role in the tourism sector in the
development of the destinations and the growth of the
industry. The government is the only body which
represents its countries attraction places among the
different country so it is necessary for the government
to develop the places of visitors attraction and
develop the sector to provide good quality services
and safe tour to the clients visiting the country.

International agencies roles in travel and
tourism:- The international agencies plays a
significant role in the development of the
international tourism. The certain agencies such as
World Tourism Organisation(UNWTO), World
Travel and Tourism Council are formed to develop
the international tourism.

2.2Explain how local and national economic policy influences
the success of the travel and tourism sector.
The local and national economic polices have direct
impact on the travel and tourism sector. The
influences occurred due to the local and national
policies can be negative or positive for the sector.
The decrease in the GDP of the country and at the
time of recession within the country leads to the
decline in the number of the visitors visiting the
tourist destination in the country. The have the
negative impact on the development of the sector.

The main factor influencing the tourism sector it the
exchange rates of the currency. The exchange rate of
the currency helps to determine the money which can
be spend by the visitor. The more the visitors spend
lead to increase in the earning of the sectors. The
lineant government policies allows the international
visitors with less legal formalities which is beneficial
for attracting the tourists. The policies regarding the
visa and migration also have the direct impact on the
travel and tourism sector.
