I want a professional approach to the toolkit, for a real presentation of the subject. Also, I want
absolutely every word of mine to be taken into account and your approach will be exactly as I ask. I
need a first class report as well and the plagiarism to be less than 15%.
I have to make a Virtual Trip Toolkit by the model attached to this e-mail for 1500-word count.
I have to use for region information - The Travel and Tourism Competitiveness Index 2019 ā€“
UNWTO TTCI 2019, connectivity by country ā€“ appendix 3.
Activity:
- Region information ā€“ UNWTO (International tourism highlights report 2019)
- This activity is related to section 3 of my toolkit.
- Tourist numbers
- Income generated by tourist percentage growth
- Country information ā€“ Mintel (travel and tourism report August 2019)
- Key markets, rank them, tourists number.
I have to check more journals than books.
I have to investigate two regions ā€“ to choose 2 countries from two different regions.
Using the Travel Geography toolkit, compare two destinations (outside of Europe and N. America) to
ascertain their level of connectivity in terms of the following criteria:
ļ‚· Key airports, the capital city and neighbouring countries
ļ‚· Geography of destination.
ļ‚· Air transport infrastructure, security and openness
ļ‚· Safety
ļ‚· Environment and distinct weather patterns.
ļ‚· Airline connectivity and key markets
ļ‚· Political stability
I want to choose this two regions:
1. a. busiest ā€“ Indira Gandi International Airport
b. best ā€“ Kempegouda International Airport Bengaluru
2. a. best -- Rusia Aeroflot Moscow
b. busiest ā€“ Sheremetyevo International Airport

You have two options each region, and you can choose only one each region.
Project word counts and presentation timings should always be observed. Although University will
not penalise just because a word count has been exceeded, ignoring a word count increases
significantly the risk of your work losing marks because it needed a better structure, flow, focus and
clarity. Timings must be observed for assessed presentations for the same reasons.

Internationa
l Openness
India's score for international
openness has improved over two
years as seen above. The country has
made constant efforts to be open to
as many countries internationally as
possible. Also, the country allowed
many countries to trade within it so
that the overall score could be
improved.
On the other hand, the score of Russia for
being internationally open has gone down
from 2.3 to 2.2. Thus, in order to improve
overall score, the country should make
efforts and be internationally open for
trade. This will also be helpful for its
overall economic development.
Safety and
Security
On the basis of safety and security,
the score of India has improved from
4.3 to 4.5. The country is considered
safe for travel and tourism. Although,
the country can further improve its
ranking in safety and security by
adopting various policies as well as
other measures. This will help in
attracting more tourists.
The ranking of Russia based on safety and
security has gone four points up from 4.7
to 5.1, which is a positive thing. The score
can be beneficial for Russia in attracting
more travellers and tourists from across
the globe which will further improve the
country's overall position of being safe
and secure.

e
The score of India based on Airport
Infrastructure has improved from 4.0
to 4.2. This means that the country is
paying attention to the overall
development of the infrastructure of
airports.
On the other hand, the score of Russia
based on Airport Infrastructure has also
improved from 4.2 to 4.6, which is a good
thing. If the respective country keeps
making efforts for improvement, it can
increase the score which will be beneficial
for it.
4) Using the current FCO advice (available from https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice),
comment on the safety of travelling to the destinations (300 words) (20%):
FCO advice ā€“ Country 1
Although India is a safe country to travel,
crimes like sexual assault and scams can still
occur. Therefore, it is advised that travellers
always carry a photocopy of their passport,
Indian Visa as well as flight tickets along with
them separately. Women travellers are
advised to exercise caution even when
travelling in a group. With reports of
increasing sexual attacks against females is
increasing, it can be said that foreign women
are at a risk.
FCO advice ā€“ Country 2
People travelling to Russia are advised to inform
a relative or a friend about their travel plans
before they leave and give them an emergency
contact number as well. Although, most visits in
the country are safe, minor crimes can still take
place. The travellers are advised to stay alert of
mugging, thefts and pick-pocketing. They are
also advised to look after their passports at all
times, no matter what. There can also be cases
of robbery, abuse and violence.
Which country is the safest based on current FCO advice? (Briefly justify your response)
Based on current advice of FCO, it can be said that Russia is the safest country because the
number as well as level of crimes taking place are less as compared to India. Most Russian visit are
trouble free with only minor crimes taking place, regarding which travellers are advised to stay
aware of. The country is safe because no major crimes or scams against tourists have been
reported.

The chosen immediate neighbour of India is Pakistan and the FCO advises that travellers should
remain aware of street crimes at all times. They are advised to take care of their personal
belongings including passports particularly. Therefore, it is considered as a bad neighbour.
On the other hand, the chosen neighbour of Russia is the US and people travelling here are
advised by FCO to not leave their passport in any rental car. The US is considered as a good
neighbour. The implication that can be drawn is that Pakistan should work on improving its
position as a country.
5) Examine whether your countries have recently experienced either environmental/natural
disasters or extreme weather which have impacted air transport activity (200 words)(10%)
Country 1
With recent changes in the weather and rising
global temperature, the western India recently
experienced heavy rains in the year 2019. The
rains intensified floods in other regions like
Kerela and Karnataka which resulted in any
kind of air activity being stopped. The
travellers were not able to travel from one
place to another as all airline were shut down
for some time. The extreme weather
conditions caused an overall damage to life as
well as property. To control the damage,
government made a lot of preparations like
warning people, evacuations, making
arrangements for the people affected by the
conditions etc.
Country 2
There has not been any recent experience of
environmental/natural disaster or an extreme
weather by Russia. This is because natural
disasters are not common in the country.
Although it did experience flooding in the far
East in the year 2013. All through this time, the
region faced heavy rains that caused the Amur
river to spill over. The flood cause huge damage
not only to the environment but life and
property as well. This resulted in a restriction to
any kind of air activity for a long duration of
time. To curb the situation, a large number of
people took part in cleaning up the damage
that was caused by the flood.
6) Investigate the accessibility and connectivity of the destinations and determine key markets for
each country (200 words)(10%)
Consider key international airports and flights between chosen countries and their source markets.
Also, look at any visa requirements for travel to the chosen countries from their source markets.
Country 1
There are direct flight tickets available from
India to Russia. Travellers can choose to fly to
Russia from various destinations in India
including Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai.
Tickets can either be booked online or through

a travel agent. For a person to travel from

routine basis. The key international airports
are Indira Gandhi International Airport,
Kempegowda International Airport and
Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport.
from where flight stake off are Sheremetyevo
International Airport in Moscow and Pulkovo
Airport.
7) Consider the political stability within both countries (300 words)(20%)
Important to look at relations with neighbouring states and impacts on air transport.
Country 1
India is a politically stable country but does not
share good relations with its neighbour
country Pakistan. The relations largely
complex as well as hostile. The tow country
share a history two violences along with
terrorists attack taking place. Immediately
after independence, both the countries
established diplomatic relations with each
other and still continue to do so. There have
always been tensions between the two
countries due to which air activity has been
impacted many times. This decision has many
times caused damage to property as well as
the atmosphere in the countries has also not
been very good. Therefore, the air activity has
been many a times been affected due to heavy
tensions and terrorist attacks.
Country 2
Russia and the US maintain policy relations
with each other. The relations between the two
countries were not good under the Russian
President Boris Yelstein. Although now the
relationship has become constructive. The US
has been a good neighbour to Russia and even
supported it during its decision to integrate
into European institutions. Thus, the air activity
has never really been affected as the countries
maintain healthy relations with each other.

Conclusion: Explain which country is the most connected, open and safe of the two destinations
(200 words)(10%)
From the above report, it can be concluded that Russia is the most connected, open as well as
safe country for people to travel. It maintains good relations with its neighbours and also the
number of crimes reported in the country are less as compared to India, on the other hand. Also,
Russia has not experienced any kind of environmental, natural or extreme weather conditions
since 2012 which is a positive thing, both for its economy as well as the people who travel there.
In order to travel from India to Russia and Russia to India, there are various visa requirements
that a traveller needs to fulfil. The country is safe for female travellers as the number of crimes
reported are very less. Also, the overall airport infrastructure of the country has improved over
the years with various facilities provided to them.
Therefore, Russia, on a whole can be regarded as the most fastest, connected as well as open
country when compared to India, which is regarded as not so safe. Russia is also a politically
stable country with no major problems relating to the economy as well. Therefore, travellers are
