the creation and practical use of digital or computerised device, method and systems. In the
digital technology includes several equipments such as laptop, computer, Wi-Fi, internet social
media etc. With help of these all technological equipment and source, any business entity can
enhance the experience of customer and deliver quick and fast services in the market. The
present report provides the depth knowledge and understanding about the digital technology and
its impact upon the growth and innovation within small business enterprise with respect of Black
Penny restaurant. Thus, in order to accomplish this subject objective, researcher have used
several methods and techniques of research methodologies and conduct survey for data
collection.

project manager of Black Penny restaurant so as effective strategy can formulate in order to
manage different types of projects. With assistance of project plan, manager can effectively
analyse requirement of various resource and analyse effective source for meet the requirement of
project. In order to develop the project management plan, manager needs to emphasis the various
aspect which are as follows-
 Time- In order to conduct research and obtain appropriate outcome, time is essential
element which influence the project management plan (Fotis, John, Buhalis and Rossides,
2012). Thus, it is essential for manager to set small target and establish time of
completion of the activity. In the current research, scholar have very limited time period

due to which it is very complex to carry out all activities of research within small period.
Considering the time factor is essential as it may have great effect on the quality of
research (Hvass, Kristian and Munar, 2012). Thus, in order to minimise the impact of
short period. Gantt chart and work break down structure have adopted by researcher as
this allow them to divide or categorise their work on the basis of priorities. These
methods can aid to researcher in saving their time as well as accomplish the entire task in
the systematic manner.
 Cost- Cost is another significant resource that help to researcher in accomplishing their
research. In the absence of sufficient cost, researcher can not accomplish the whole
investigation and associated activities (Hays, Stephanie, Page and Buhalis, 2013). As
researcher have to bear various cost as well as expenses on executing various activities
such as transportation, stationary, collection of information, internet etc. Thus, due to
lack of financial resource, researcher may face difficulties.
 Scope of the study- The present research study facilitates researcher in order to acquiring
knowledge about the impact of digital technology on the business growth and innovation
in the hospitality sector (Hjalager and Anne-Mette, 2010). With help of this investigation,
scholar can obtain the several platforms and equipments in the terminology of digital
technology. By use of this study researcher can identify the criteria through which it can
make business more effective, fastest and easy. Furthermore, this study also facilitates to
restaurant manager in getting knowledge about utilisation of various sources of digital
technology.
 Communication- In the current research study, researcher conducted survey for collect
primary information about the digital technology and its impact on the growth and
innovation within the Small business enterprise (Hudson, Simon, and Thal, 2013). Thus,
for conduct the survey, scholar have been prepared a systematic questionnaire along with
questions of digital technology and its impact on the growth and success of organisation.
Researcher have taken the personal email address of 25 employees in the Black Penny
restaurant and send all of them. This is the best strategy to conduct researcher without
any biasness so as respondents can freely answer the questions.

consisted with several methods and techniques such as research approach, research philosophies,
research design, data collection, data analysis, sampling etc (Zumitzavan and Michie, 2015).
With help of all these techniques, researcher can find out the best alternative solution. In the
present study, the major aim of researcher is to analyse the impact of digital technology on the
growth and performance of small business enterprise with respect of Black Penny restaurant.
Thus, for attain this objective, researcher have implemented following methods and techniques- Research philosophies- Research philosophy is that method that aid to scholar in
analysing and assessing information for address the solution. There are major two kinds
of research philosophies that is interpritivism and possitivism. In the present study, for
analyse the impact of digital technology on the growth and innovation within small

Lewis, 2011). With help of this technique, researcher can effective understand the issue
of problem and find out effective solution. Research approach- Research approach is that aspect that aid in conducting research in
the right manner (Soni and Kodali, 2012). There are major two kinds of research
approach that are inductive and deductive. In the current research study, researcher have
applied deductive research approach for analyse the study and find out appropriate
solution. Research techniques- This is that method which allows to scholar in obtain the effective
solution by collecting, analysing, assessing, interpreting information about subject. There
are major two research techniques that is qualitative and quantitative (Saunders and
Bezzina, 2015). The present report designed with help of qualitative research technique
under which information can represent with help of graphs, charts and tables etc. Data collection- Data collection is a procedure under which researcher can collect the
information by help of primary and secondary sources. If researcher collects the
information from books, journals, online blogs, articles etc then it is known as secondary
data collection (Aaker, 2011). On the other if researcher collects information from
survey, interview, observation, case study then it can be said that it is primary data
collection. In the current research study, researcher have used primary data collection
under which information have gathered with help of survey method. In this aspect,
scholar have developed systematic questionnaire and sent to 20 employees of Black
Penny restaurant.
 Sampling- Sampling is another significant tool that help in divide the entire population
in the small part and that part known as sample (Edward, 2000). In the current study, 20
employees has taken as sample size by researcher through which information about
impact of digital technology has been effectively gathered.

of digital technology on the business performance and activities. In this research, for collect
information about the digital technology, I have conducted survey through which my
interpretation, communication, analytical skill has been improved. I have also learnt about the

study. With help of these techniques, I have found effective outcome of the study. I have also
