The TV set is the most incredible invention of all time. The commercial TV was introduced
around 1928 when the first broadcasting station was established. At that time, the TV was
primitive due to the technological constraint. As time passed, technology advanced and TV,
become famous for shaping opinions, entertainment and primary means of communication.
Today, there are billions of subscribers and so has the companies that manufacture the TV sets to
cover the increasing demand. Consequently, the potential buyers are faced with a significant
challenge in selecting the best brand at a reasonable price. This need forms the primary objective
of this report as we try to guide the buyers by comparing the most popular brands, Samsung, LG,
and Sony. The comparison criteria are based on the design, features, specification and added
functionality such as connectivity, accessories, and technology applied. The findings indicate
that no perfect brand exist, i.e., it has particular strengths and weakness in comparison to the
other brands. For instance, Sony has the best sound technology and picture quality but lack the
feature of ultra slim. Therefore, the report will first give a brief history of the brand, objectives of
the study, the research, discussion and offer recommendations.
