There are different types of healthcare which all aim at providing the best healthcare
services to their patients. These types of organizations include general hospitals, hospices,
medical group practices, physician offices, doctor’s clinic, and outpatient diagnostic centers
(Luxford, Safran, & Delbanco, 2011). After thorough research about the different types of
healthcare organizations, I was convinced that hospitals are the most effective and efficient of
them all due to various reasons. First, hospitals offer a range of acute care, convalescent, and
other services in different parts of the continuum care using therapeutic and diagnostic services.
Secondly, hospitals have organized and specialized medical staff and inpatient facilities. Also,
unlike other types of healthcare organization like hospice which relies upon donations from well-
wishers, hospitals have the best equipment and technology. Besides, they have unique physicians
who are specially trained to operate the hospital machines and other equipment to ensure that all
patient have the best health care that they possibly can.
Furthermore, hospitals utilize every resource available to ensure that the lives of the
patients are sustained, unlike hospices that focus on easing the dying process. Another primary
reason to why I think hospitals are the most effective and efficient is because hospitals offer
around the clock services, and there will always be a specialist around in case of any types of,
unlike doctor’s clinic where the specialists are few and not still available. Finally, the
organization of hospitals is correctly defined with the various department with leaders who
oversee activities of the physicians. Every specialist reports to some higher specialists thus this
ensures that everyone is on their toes in trying to provide quality healthcare for patients.
Hospitals have trained leaders who are well aware of their roles thus ensuring that everyone if
maximumly function and the whole organization if adequately running. Most hospitals also
