INTRODUCTIONOrganisational behaviour can be defined as process of studying of individual and groupperformance as well as various activities in the organisation. This is the area which results in theexamination of human behaviour within the workplace that have an impact on thecommunication, work performance, job structure, leadership, motivation and change in theorganisation. Assessing the behaviour of the people in the organisation results in the propermanagement of people in the company. In this report three topic such as leadership, motivationto work and managing change are selected to discuss their definitions and theories related tothem which can be implements in the organisation which is H&M. It is a Swedish multinationalretail company for clothing for both men and women, teenagers and children as well. MAIN BODYTheoretical DefinitionsAs per the views of Kaufman, Alegbeleye and Cletzer, (2018) leadership can be definedas an activity of a superior in order to influence the behaviour of its subordinate or a group ofemployees in the organisation and motivate them to follow a particular course of action in theorganisation. It has been elucidated by Silva, (2016) leadership can be referred as an art ofinfluencing as well as directing the people in such a way that a leader is able to win their respect,confidence, obedience as well as loyal cooperation for achieving a common objective of thecompany. As illustrated by Dagenais-Desmarais, Leclerc and Londei-Shortall, (2018) motivation towork can be defined as a process when the employees are incentivised during the work in such asway that they are able to reach the level of success and are able to provide a company a greatervalues through their performance. As per the views of Kanfer, Frese and Johnson, (2017)motivation to work can be defined as the willingness of an employee to exert higher effortstowards the goals of the organisation in such a way the employee's need are achieved as well inthe organisation. As per the views of Doppelt, (2017) managing change is a systematic approach whichhelps in dealing with transformation as well as transition of company's goals, technologies orprocesses. The main purpose of managing change is to implement the various strategies whichhave an effect on change management process of the organisation. As illustrated by Hayes,1

(2018) managing change can be referred as tools, processes as well as techniques for managingemployees side of transition which is required to achieve the positive business outcome. t in thesuccessful personal transformation in the company that results in realisation and adoption ofchange within the workplace.Theories outlining the differencesThere are various theories of leadership but the two major leadership theories are TraitTheories of leadership and Situational Theories of leadership. According to the trait theories, itassumes that people inherit the leadership qualities as well as traits which make them bettersuited for leading a group of people or an organisation. Trait theories helps to identify thepersonality of a particular person as well as its behaviour which is shared by the leader. It can beexplained with an example, if a leader is courages, a leader will be willing to take risks withinthe organisation. Traits of a person represents the key features of leadership which can explainthe qualities of leadership possessed by a leader of the organisation. Different people whichposses different personality traits which are associated with leadership but still does not want toseek the position of leadership (Trivisonno and Barling, 2016). So, this means that it verydifficult to identify the traits of an individual and even some people lack traits which areassociated with leadership but still lead a group effectively. On the hand situational theory of leadership suggests that leaders of the organisation canchoose the best leadership style based on the situational variables. This style also suggests that, itis more appropriate to use different types of leadership style for making different types ofdecisions. It can be explained with the example, if within an organisation there arises a situationwhere leader is experienced and very knowledgeable so in this case authoritarian leadership stylewill be more preferable. Situational theory of leadership enable a leader to become more flexibleas it allows to get adapted to the existing work environment as well as needs of the workplace.Unlike trait theory of leadership, situational theory suggests that leadership is not based onspecific skills or traits of leader, but instead modifies the style of leadership as per need of theorganisation. There are also various theories of motivation related to work, one of the best suitabletheory of motivation is Two-Factor Theory which was given by Hertzberg .
