The main purpose for the establishment of any business enterprise is to earn profit
along with serving standard quality of products and services to the society. Every
business wants to maximise its profit along with Corporate Social Responsibility.
This poster is based on Marks and Spencer, a multinational grocery retailer store in
UK. This poster will cover the Opportunity and Threats of Porter’s Five forces
model and PESTEL analysis.
INTRODUCTIONS
PESTEL
It is a framework that is used by marketers in order to analyse the macro
factors that may impact the business operations. They may affect in both positive and
negative aspect depends on the nature and size of the company. Various legal policies
and inflation rates, demographics, tradition are some factors that impacts on the
functioning of the business.
PESTLE
Threat
The new emerging entrants in the business market is the major threat that the company I having as it results in lowering their prices in order to face competition.
The company may face the threat of similar product available in the market and customer have the option to buy the product from different company.
The pricing strategy gives high pressure to the company as it have to decline the price of the products
Opportunities
As M&S is a multinational brand so it have to facilitate its products in those countries where it can expand its operations.
The company has the opportunity of segmenting the customer based on the preferences and taste by creating of insights.

From the above poster, it was concluded that it is needed to analyse all the factors
that may adversely impact on the business operations. The company should seek all
the available opportunities in order to expand its business globally. Technological
upgradation and setting up of e commerce platform will result in the expansion
along with customer acquisition.
