INTRODUCTION
Changes is an ongoing process which is essential for organizational growth as there is a
fluctuation in consumer taste or preferences. Corporate world is facing a numerous of issues due
to modification in external and internal factors. For example; emergence of several foreign
companies, changing trend, fluctuates currency rate and so on (Anderson and Anderson, 2010).
Cosmetic industry is growing across the international boundaries due to maximization in
customer demands. L'oreal and Maybelline are two famous organizations in beauty industry as
they are engaged in manufacturing outstanding products for enhancing the personality of human
beings. Therefore, assignment is focussing on need of changes at workplace by showing
appropriate comparison between two popular association. Moreover, influence of macro and
micro elements on organization behaviour, leadership, team and so on are outlining in this
project. Main objective of report is to throw lights on necessity of changes for industry
development.

Cosmetic industry is facing number of changes in various business activities due to
emergence of various modern technologies which helps an organization at workplace.
Maybelline and L'oreal both the company are famous for its qualitative products in order to
enhance the overall personality of human beings (Aslan and Reigeluth, 2013). However, taste or
preferences of consumer always fluctuates due because of external and internal factors. Thus,
company needs to implement modification in their current plans, policies, products and so on. It
means due to fluctuation in surrounding there is a need of alteration in operational strategy of an
enterprise and hence forth for attaining their set targets in a defined time frame. In fact, it has
been identified that there is a major relationship between changes and strategies followed by an
organization and operations in various manner. Some are described as follows:-
 Political parties changes procedure of transferring goods across the borders due to which
Maybelline and L'oreal both have to modified their existing technique of exchanging
services. Hence, it shows the major connection between alteration and organizational
strategies.

 Fluctuation in consumer choice or preferences encourage enterprise to reform their
current products.
 Mismanagement of an enterprise enforce higher authority to gathered staff members for
altering their current scheme or system of running business entity.

this, it may hamper the entire association in various extent. For example; operational department
modified their current strategy for following reasons such as; to cope up with current problems,

development of cosmetic industries because in today's scenario millions of consumers are depend
upon beauty products in order to live their life comfortably. One of the major reason behind
using products offered by Maybelline and L'oreal is to attract others as well as to maintain their
personality at societal place. Thus, some of the essential difference between both the companies

been analysed that if there is occurrence of any change in an enterprise then it automatically
hamper individual, leader and overall group because these elements are managed or controlled

company performance. In order to control negativity leaders are responsible to take necessary

name at global marketplace. It means Maybelline needs to conduct various programmes
for enhancing knowledge of staff members so that they can learn how to deal with

policies designed by government act as a restriction. As a result company needs to focus
on designing several effective plans and strategies to reduce risk from leadership, staff

changes are also affecting shareholders. It means, if maximum number of partners are
interested in investing money in Maybelline then there is a maximum chance of

governing bodies restricts employees and leaders while performing specific activities. Economical:- National income, measuring of poverty rate, unemployment, fluctuation in
current rate and various other elements which may hamper the economy of a nation. All
these things might control when company get succeeded in improving the knowledge of
individual by spending sufficient capital such as; conduct improvement sessions. Thus,
development of economy shows that it have a major impact on individual behaviour and
working conditions. Social:- Maybelline needs to design their cosmetic items as per consumer lifestyle,
preferences, luxury, preferences and taste in order to gain their trust or loyalty. Along
with this need to consider current trend.
 Technological:- Advanced and modern equipments are launched at marketplace which
is used by an organization for improving their way of working. As a result, it helps an
enterprise in various situations such as ; maximize the production.
All these above elements are interlinked with each other and having a major connection
with leaders role, team members and entire staff (Fyke and Buzzanell, 2013). In fact, resources
are acquired by Maybelline through environment only in order to run their business in a smooth
manner. For example; plants or machinery, labour, money hence forth. Additionally, for
analysing internal aspect SWOT analysis is used which is explained as follows:- Strength:- One of the major potentiality of Maybelline is that they are involved in
various outstanding project which is famous for its positive aim and motive. Along with
this company is engaging in designing qualitative products by encouraging employees
towards their personal and professional objectives. Whereas, L'oreal believes in building
their image at global marketplace without worrying about the cost.

lack of talented employees, improper management and various other activities. Therefore,
it is essential to focus on specific factors for overcoming the developmental barriers. Opportunities:- Customers are very conscious about their looks due to which they are
demanding more or more beauty products for enhancing their overall personality.
However, it is essential to design products as per consumer choice or preferences in order
to capture their minds or demands (Hintz and Bahia, 2013).
 Threats:- Cosmetic industry is developing in a fastest way due to which number of
companies are emerging with new ideas for enhancing the beauty of human beings. Thus,
major some of the major threat of Maybelline is; L'oreal, Rimmel and various other
competitors.

Changes sometimes can be negative and gives major impact on behaviour of company.
But its effect vary from organisation to organisation and in this situation work of manager start.
To minimise negative impact of alteration in Maybelline and L'oreal as well modification gives
psychological impact on working of every employees at individual level.
Sometimes employees of company refuse to accept changes because it gives limitation in
growth and development of organisation. Therefore, it is necessary to take proper actions for
minimise negative impact of changes in organisation. Some of them is given below:
 Creation of pathway- this is related to communication thus, it simply means that their
should be proper way of communicating with each other. So information can be transfer
to each and every member is proper. When there is two way transfer of messages which
includes information motivate employees and make them feel that they are part of the
