The disadvantagesarethattherearemanylevelsofhierarchyandduetomultiplelayers’ communication can get difficult and the operations in this structure are comparatively more expensive because of additional layers. Flat organisational structure refers to the structure which consists of very less or no layer of management between staff and management. In this structure employees are not supervised by the managers.
