Executive Summary
Personal development plan is a formative process in which different types of process is
included in order to formulate effective strategic plan. It will simultaneously helps an individual
to accomplish their targets and goals with more effectiveness. Along with this, it will help an

What is the core skill to develop?
As per the perception of Ellis and Bach, (2015), team working is considered as the procedure in
which individuals work together for achieving common goals and objectives. This includes
sharing, influencing, motivating employees so that they can work with each other willingly. It
can be said that, it is one among the most required skill of employee which helps them in
sustaining longer in the company.
Why is this core skill important?
As per the thoughts presented by Coopman and Lull, (2014), team working skill is seen as an
essential skill for the company as well as person both. It is because, this skill supports
individual in improving their relationship with other workers at workplace in effective manner.
Along with this, it also distributes work pressure of employees among whole team so that
positive working environment can be developed. As a result, it will help each individual
working in a company to work in secure and warm working environment. I have chosen team
working skill for reducing work stress of my team members. The chosen skill will also support
me in attain my own target and objectives within less period of time.
How competent are you currently regarding the skill?
On the basis of my own evaluation, I have noticed that I owe high command and great approach
in communication skill that supports me in persuading team mates so that common goals can
be achieved in quick manner. As per the feedback provided by the tutor and the batch mates, I

have realised that I am mature enough to handle and manage regular based work of the team
effectively. They have also declared that I am very much supportive for team members which
motivates each of them in every difficult situation.

According to the above specified evaluation and tutor feedback, it has been analysed by me that
continuous improvement is the basic requirement of the every skill (Travers, Morisano and
Locke, 2015). Thus, it is essential for me to enhance my communication as well as supporting
skills in order to manage my whole team effectively. In addition to this, it can be said that by
enhancing my command over communication skill I can convince more employees to work
more effectively which will improve their productivity. It will also result in quick achievement
of goals and objective of company in effective manner.
How will this skill help me in the future?
According to the above presented evaluation, it is essential for me to emphasise on improving
my team working skill so that I could manage work of team mates effectively. This can be done
by improving communication and supporting skill. Thus, this improved skill will help me and
batch mates in attaining goals and objective of a company in effective manner within less

As per according to the view of Sims, Hewitt and Harris, (2015), with the help of conflict
resolution skills an individual can effectively able to remove any kind of misunderstanding
prevailed in between staff. This skill plays an key essential role as with the help of this an
organisation can formatively stimulates their growth and ensure their long term sustainability.
Misunderstandings can be effectively resolved by commencing a talk in between non agreed
parties. In my present case, I have adopted this skill, in order to build strong and formative
relationship in my organisation. Along, with this it can progressively benefits me to work in
effective way towards my goal.

Conflict resolution skill effectively helps an individual to gain more competitive advancements
in order to gain more competencies in external market . In addition to this, organisation can

As per according to my evaluation, at a time of resolving conflict and tensed situations I am
good in formulating effective decisions. According to me peers feedbacks I have analysed that I
usually make decision after evaluating whole situation. Also I have raised my level of
knowledge in relation to conflict topics in order to resolve these situations in given period of
time. This will benefit an individual or a worker to overcome these situations effectively and

As per according to my top level managers feedback, It is required for me to develop my ability
of decision making capabilities. It is important for me to firstly, analyse who situation and then
make exact right decision (Cottrell, 2015). For this, I have get feedbacks from my peers and
colleagues, according to which it is important for me to deal with conflict situations in calm and
patient manner. This is also one of my major weaknesses which is required to be effectively
solved.
How will this skill help me in the future?

According to main skill which is discussed here is Public speaking. It is a process of
communication thoughts, ideas, expressions and informations to the audience (What is Personal
Development?, 2017). It is basically done at a large platforms in front of huge number of
peoples, so it is called Public speaking. Its main aim is to deliver a person's thought or idea in
front of a large number of group. Public speaking generally helps in developing confidence of

people. It is a kind of communication which is usually takes place in multinational companies as
they prefer people who are very well familiar with soft skills.
Why is this core skill important?
Public speaking is very effective and important as it helps in communicating any
information, thought or idea to a large number of people in a short period of time. Public
speaking helps in motivating, entertaining and influencing group of people. Along with this, it
helps in making new contacts with number of peoples. This skill needs lot of efforts to develop
as it is not very easy to develop. In my case, it helped me in developing new connections,
increasing my confidence and enhancing my soft skills. Public speaking help in communicating
my ideas, informations and thoughts to my colleagues which helps in increasing the efficiency
of their work. By attending seminars, conferences, public events I develop my soft skills.

With the help of self-evaluation, I feel, with my colleagues I am able to communicate
properly and effectively. Therefore, it can be said that I am enough competent in Public
speaking skill (Mischel, DeSmet and Kross, 2014). Along with this, a seminar is conducted in
our company where an opportunity of public speaking is given to me, where my performance is
appreciated by my colleagues. While I'm communicating with people, I get a chance to
incorporate main points and strategies which helps in improving my listening skills. It also
helps me in improving my vocabulary.
Can you identify any contradictions, or allowable weaknesses from your analysis?
From above analysis and according to my colleagues and peer feedback which is given to
me at the time of seminar, I was not able to communicate and express my ideas, thoughts and
opinions with my subordinates in the right sense. There are some errors and miscommunications
between what I wanted to deliver and communicate and what my colleagues and peer
understood. As a result, a task assigned to me during seminar leads to failure. To improve this, I
need to develop my public speaking as well as communication skill in its true and fair sense to
avoid any kind of miscommunication and confusion.
How will this skill help me in the future?
Currently I am working in a multinational company, so this skill is very important for me
and for my overall development. With the help of developing this soft skill I will be able to

discussed here. Time management in general terms is efficiently and effectively managing time
according to work or task assigned. In specific terms, it is a name given to a process of
organising and planning about how to effectively divide time between all different activities and
processes in our daily lives. Proper time management is very vital for managers as it helps them
to work smartly without any stress. Failure in time management many a times happens to be a
reason for stress and also hampers effectiveness of employees.
Why is this core skill important?
Time management is a vital thing in everyone's life which should be incorporate as a skill
in daily as well as at workplace. A person should manage his time so that individual goals can
be accomplished within prescribed time. It help in making right decisions quickly (Autesserre,
2014). Further, this helps in encouraging fellow employees and subordinates to manage their
time effectively. Time holds a priceless value and should be utilised wisely without wasting it in
unnecessary activities. When an individual decides his own targets, the first thing he set is time
within which they have to be achieved. Hence, time is epitome of all objectives. When it comes
to my experience regarding time management, I can say that time management helped me in
achieving the tasks within specified time. This has created a co-ordination in my personal and
professional life.
How competent are you currently?
I conducted an evaluation of my time management to analyse my efficiency in developing
this skill. From the assessment I made, I realised that my time management skills was not fully
developed. The reason is that, I failed to accomplish my objectives within the time I set. This
made me frustrated as I did not get enough time to other work or have my own family time or
spend some leisure time. Hence, I would say, it is important manage the time so that I can focus
on other important things as well and give more time to family and friends. Further, I felt that
this skill will be improved when I will give good direction and guidance to my subordinates so

that they can achieve task in time.

I observed my time to see any weaknesses, along with this, I also considered the
feedback provided by top management. From these I am still not sure that I have effectively
built the time management skill. It needs major changes in the ways of doing work. I need to be
more punctual and change my attitude towards organizational goals and tasks. This will foster
my individual growth and help in striking a balance between personal and professional aspect.

How will this skill help me in the future?
The company I am currently working in is operating at a large scale and is a globalised
company. It is important to build this skill as it will give ample tie to finish my work within
time. Further, this will improve efficiency of my team and fellow workers (Carnegie, 2017).
Due to this, company can achieve it goals in prescribed time. Further, my confidence level will
be increased due to which I will be able to out perform all other employees.

Strengths:
As per analysis and examination done by me I had found out that my time management
skills were quite developed and effective. My efficiency in this particular skill helped me in
completing my work within a specified time frame. Also by continuous efforts my decision
