QUESTION 1 (a) Essay about good friend with their four personality traits Friends are as important as family in individual's life. They are the family that we choose for making our life easier as they stand by us during the difficult times. For an individual it is required to appropriately understand all the strengths, weaknesses, skills, capabilities and knowledge criteria of their Friend.There are various good personality traits which I like in my friend, from which some major are mentioned below:- Enthusiastic:It is define as trait of a energetic person which inspires others to be happy and active. My friend is so enthusiastic like she is always ready to learn new things and conduct new things. Good listener:It is define as a threat of a person who has good capacity to listen others so that they effectively interact with them (Riaz, Riaz and Batool, 2012). In respect of my friend she is one of good listener in class because other student came to her and share their problems and issues. Confident:It is necessary for a person to have this treat because through it they able to develop proper professional career. In the situation of my friend she is confident which help her to represent her view point in front of others. Networked:My friend is networked person, she has knowledge as well as understanding of which person is right for her and which is not. It is generally based on family, their background, education, peoples he/ she surrounded with and many more(Klimstra, 2013).Personality development is define as development of systematic way of attitude as well as behaviour which help then in becoming distinctive person. Personality development is generally occurs through regular interaction of character, environment and temperament. This will include several factors which makes understanding of personality development easy such as self knowledge, development of spiritual, establishment of self esteem, talent development, analysing potential and many more. Development in personality help in enhancing skills, ability and wealth of a person. Along with this it will also help them in conducting their work in effective manner. In addition to this personality development issues refers to those challenges or problems which are faced by a person which developing their personality through certain method. These issues or problems consider as hurdle in the life of a person because it block the ways for development. Moreover, personality development issues impact or influence a person personality traits as well as it will also minimise their growth at a workplace. Some major of the personality development issues which are face by friends as well as that will impact on her personality traits are given below:- Thinking yourself more smarter then others:It is define as that treat at which a person think herself more superior then others. Due to this issues they may face several issues like no one like her, person not understand others and so on. In respect of my friend she is confident but it is necessary for her to avoid this issues of being overconfident and thing herself more smarter then others. If she didn't avoid this she may loss their friends, growth opportunities and many others essential things. Always work and no play:It is define as a situation of a person when he /she give more importance to their work which is good but it is essential for an individual to consider their social and other life too (Oshri, Rogosch and Cicchetti, 2013). My friend is enthusiast due to which she conduct each and every work with full dedication which develop the chance of this personality development issues. Theory from the humanistic approach Abraham Maslow's Humanism This theory is based on the basic five physiological needs which are required by an individual for survival at a particular place. At first physiological need is consider which include basic need of a person such as breathing, food, sleep, excretion, water and many more. Second is safety need that include security of employment, resources, family, self body, health, property and so on. Third is love and belongingness requirement which mean a person required friends and family for leaving in effective manner. After this fourth physiological need is esteem which include factors like self confidence, respect of other persons, getting respect by other and many more (Ahmed, Hasnain and Venkatesan, 2012). The last physiological need is self actualization that will include factor morality, spontaneity, problem solving, creativity, acceptance and so on. This is based on down to up method which means for a person it is necessary to full their physiological need first then safety need, love and belongingness requirement, esteem need and at last self actualization need. Theory from the psychoanalytic approach Freudian Psychoanalytic Theory of personality According to this theory personality of a person is developed by series of stages and at this every stage is based through definite internal psychological conflict. As per the perspective of Freud, personality of a person is developed from integration of three fundamental structure of 3
a person's mind i.e. id, ego and superego. Here id is define as pleasure such as conducting work for own satisfaction, then ego is reality of a person and it is based on true principles through which he/ she is going. At last superego i.e. morality which may developed at the age of 4 to 5 years and it is consider as voice of conscience and moral. 2 strength and 2 criticism of humanistic approach Abraham Maslow's Humanism Strength: It helps a person or management for understanding others need. This will help in motiving employees at workplace(Barenbaum and Winter, 2012). Criticism: It is generally based on small sample of subject. It consider every individual same but all person are differ from each other. 2 strength and 2 criticism of psychoanalytic approach Freudian Psychoanalytic Theory of personality Strength: This theory provide comprehensive possibility for describing personality of human. By the use of this theory many people able to recall their childhood traumas or story. Criticism: Respective theory ignore about difference between individuals. This theory is also time consuming and it didn't provide any scientific proof. Conclusion By above theories i.e. Abraham Maslow's Humanism and Freudian Psychoanalytic Theory of personality it can be determine that personality of a person is depend upon threat as well as current requirement. Both the theories help psychologist to understand a person in order to identify as well as analysis their personality and requirement accordingly. Every person has different personality which is based on their characteristics and past experience. Along with this through humanistic approach and psychoanalytic approach company develop strategies in order to motivate their staffs so that they conduct work effectively for attaining goal. 4
