EXECUTIVE SUMMARYSelf-Improvement and professional development is a very long process. It is a procedureto learn to earn or maintain professional credentials like academic attending conferences, degreeto formal coursework. There are various activities that helps in development of personality aswell as growth such as continuing education, research, participation in professional companies,improve and develop performance on job, increase responsibilities and duties and skill basedearning and many other activities. These all activities are very useful for the future growth anddevelopment. In order to remove or minimize the weaknesses and increase strength, it is veryimportant to develop professional skills. Each and every person wants to develop their image inthe world (Reynolds, 2017). This report will analyse the qualities or skills of human which isvery essential for personality and professional development. This report will also clarify, what iscore skill, significance of core skills, importance of feedback in improving core skills along withimportance of skill in the future. Negotiation, public speaking, time management and teamworking skill will be chosen in this self-reflective journal. Furthermore, this report will alsomake individual understand why it is important to develop those skills in becoming professional.1
MAIN BODYTEAM WORKINGCore SkillThe core skill that I possess is Team Working. Team working is very essential and mostimportant skill for an individual’s as well as for company’s success and achievements.Team working is one of the most important skill to develop and grow professionally. In acompany if there is no team working skill then it is not possible that organisation canachieve its goals and objectives (Team working Skill,2017). I am working as a Marketingmanager in my organisation where team working is very essential. Without team workingskill I won’t be able to attain personal and company’s goals. In order to raise the sales ofmy company, I have to take ideas and reviews from my subordinates related to methods andtechniques to use while marketing as well as advertisement tools and instruments that helpsto increase sales and profit of organisation. Thus, I have to develop team working skill tothe peak level.Importance of Core Skill and ReflectionTeam working skill is the essence of company as well as for professional development. Itplays effective role in the success of organisation. There is a great importance of teamworking skills such as it helps in effective attaining the goals and objectives of company, itmakes the performance effective and impressive, it creates synergy where the combinedeffect of the team is greater than sum of individual efforts and many others.
