INTRODUCTION
Human services refers to a set of collective activities that require to meet human needs. It
involves preventions and provide solution to the problem for maintaining qualitative life. The
chosen human service in this report is teaching. Teaching is the one of the professional human
services that involves inspiring, motivate encouraging students in such a way that they will
realise and explore their potential. A great teacher always tries to empower students for
becoming a good human in their life. Good teacher always wants their student achieve greater
things in their life. This reports includes main duty and responsibility of teacher and type of
services they provide and historical evolution of teaching profession. It gives short review of
literature on historical emergence and development of teaching. It discuss relevant policy and
legislation of teaching profession. This report provide emergence development and changes to
the society along with its Success and downfall. The recommendation for improving teaching
skills is also provided.
MAIN BODY
Teachers provides knowledge with honesty and unity, they develop strong knowledge
and skills in their students. It creates positive environment that builds strong relationship among
students and parents. The drastic change seen in the teaching profession. The teaching practice
and patterns in modern era has now change from ancient teaching pattern. Teacher use digital
tools to educate students in a smart way such as projector, smart classes, through online etc.
The various duty and responsibility must be perform by teachers. They have to provide
subject knowledge and conduct exam to check knowledge of the students. They have to create
positive environment so that all students can get familiar with environment and can practice its
learning in a better way. They has to organised study material for lectures and seminar (Short
history of education in England, 2021). They must follow interactive learning structure that
provide individualized education to each students. Regular education events must be executed by
teachers. Its is the duty and responsibility of teacher to maintain health and safety of students.
(Ni and et.al., 2017). They have to prepare report card of student as per semester wise. It is their
responsibility to attend parent’s teacher meeting for providing regular assessment of student
performance to their parents. It should have understanding of professional duty in respect of
structure framework of teaching. They must maintain attendance of students with punctuality.

There are various types of services provided by teacher such as education, motivation,
learning and change. The ultimate aim of teacher is to be a great educator. They deeply provide
knowledge of subject. Teacher always try speak and inspire students through their motivational
stories (Yezhova, Pashkevich and Gryn, 2019). Through inspiration students try to achieve goal
of their life. They develop overall personality of students and enhance their knowledge and
skills.
According to the views of Stevenson and et.al, (2018), historical emergence and
development of teaching has modify educational activity to complex profession, teaching
develop mind of students and inspire them to become valuable citizen. The history of education
established in England from document. Education in UK starts in religious institution, charity
institution, free school of grammar that are available to all types of religious students. In nineteen
century education system expanded to state funded school. In 1880s teaching and education gets
compulsory. Comprehensive schools were established in early 1960s. The main type of primary
and secondary teaching set up after 2000s (Farrell and Jacobs, 2020). This leads to the
emergence of academics system of teaching. In ancient colonial days’ minsters and housewife
were taught, later the secondary teaching of grammar is formed for all boys.
Various association was formed in 1880s that bring drastic changes in teaching
profession. In most of the state’s teachers have to take certification test that provides license of
teaching. With the time span situation and condition of teaching improves that strengthen
teaching profession. Association set up laws for teacher and education. The advancement in
teaching brings drastic change in the society. After 2020s technical teaching used by teacher to
inspire students for their career. Now there is a standard system of testing student result made,
which make teachers more accountable. In digital era teaching become more advance, through
internet, computer, television. This generate more effective possibility of education system.
The teaching profession is totally changed from ancient time due to technology
advancement. Teachers can teach and educate students from anywhere. Modern teaching uses
graphic design templates etc. which helps students to learn in a better way. By the use of internet
they can connect live to solve doubts of students from their home at their convenience. Students
can communicate with the teachers and access research across worldwide that was not possible

package for their living.
Here are some relevant policy and legislation of teaching profession established by UK
government for the betterment of teaching, education and society. According to Education and
Inspection Act( 2006) teachers have to conduct disciplinary penalties for inappropriate behaviour
(Gee, 2017). They have rights to control actions of students for their wrong behaviour.
The Equality Act(2007), this act says that teachers must not discriminate any students on
the basis of their gender or sexual orientation (Prokofjeva and et.al., 2018). As per conduct of
Gender Equality Duty Act(2007) it is the duty of teachers not discriminate any male or female,
each students has right to educate. The School Inspection Act(1996) provides guidelines to
teachers for deliver quality of education in respect of moral, cultural, spiritual and social
development. They have to control the behaviour in such a way to contribute positive learning
environment. It should create classroom environment with appropriate discipline strategy.
Teacher are most essential part of society. They encourage student to achieve success in
their life and become responsible citizen. Teachers has quality to develop leaders in such a way
that brings positive social cultural environment and develop some innovative idea . They act as a
role model for students as their efforts inspire them to dream big. They deliver expert
educational knowledge to the society and adults (Stern, 2018). The proper guidance is provided
to society and students that gives direction to their life. The role of teachers is important in
economic development of society because education is the fundamental concept in society
development. They deliver education that enhance quality and social life. That brings
development of individual along with society. It improves productivity and creativity in Adults
who are the future workers and provide solution to society problems. This will leads to the
superior leaders who will make technological and innovative development in the society.
Various changes occurs in this profession due to digitalisation teachers can deliver
education and lectures directly to students through internet at their homes. Students do not need
to travel and it also save time of them. (Sanko, 2017). Live lectures and interactive sessions are
executed with the help of digital platform. This change reduces the efforts and time of students.
It builds constructive relation in the lives of people and contributes overall development of
society and individual.

The downfall in teaching profession came at the time of pandemic as almost every
school and education institution shut down due to health and safety of students. Teachers stooped
teaching and their learning practice goes downfall. Teachers profession faces lots of challenges
during this time. The hiring of new and qualified teachers restricted to enter in this profession
due to shut down of educational institution. Teachers does not practice and the education level
of students goes down. But they successfully overcome this downfall by practice learning and
teaching through online. Through digital platform teachers started teaching their students through
online lectures and assessment. It founds some difficulty in teaching but they successfully face
all issue. For tackle network issue they uploaded recorded lectures and resolve the problems in
particular live session. This transform overall successful structure of teaching profession.
RECOMMENDATIONS
For well maintenance of this teaching profession here are some recommendations.
Teachers can improve their teaching and learning through these models that is craft, applied
science, reflective model (Sharp and Lang, 2018). Craft model is based on context of practical
learning. This model helps teachers to provide some practical knowledge along with theoretical
knowledge to their students. It has limited context. Applied science model is based on the
research theory. In this model context is free. Teachers can use this theory in researching various
subject informations and facts. This will help in providing deep knowledge to students. In
reflective model this integrate actions and cognitions. It focus on practical values and theories
that reflect the actions of students. This helps in building relationship between students and
teachers. It assumes only autonomy structure. By using technology advancement in classroom.
This will integrate more engagement of students in classroom. They should inspire adults to be
an active learners. This improves quality of teaching. It should tackle individualized education of
students for effective learnings.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been concluded that, teaching profession is one of the
challenging profession that nurtures leaders. This is never ending continuous process that inspire
and motivate personal and professional development of students. This profession provided the
opportunity to encourage and empower leaders of tomorrow. They can transform better society
and provide innovative solution for economic development. The societies rely on teachers in the

learning practise. They serves many roles in the classroom, building positive environment,
encouraging and inspiring students for becoming a successful citizen. This profession faces lots
of downfall and challenges during pandemic time and overcome from these downfalls. Superior
quality of professional development must be given to teachers so that students will enhance their
career in better way.
