INTRODUCTION
Understanding why people work is that they have to achieve the business objectives and
the main objective of the report is to tell about that there are some motivational factors and
theories. So, that they can understand their roles and responsibilities performed by them in order
to achieve business objectives. The report includes the term motivation which is defined by using
the Maslow theory. There are some factors which tell what motivate them to work and positive
and negative factor. The report also includes some strategies to overcome the negative factors
that employee experience in their job roles.
What does Motivation mean?
Motivation is defined as term which means that there are some, needs and wants of
employees which is to be fulfilled by organization. So, that they can put efforts in order to
accomplish the business goals (Morgeson, F.P., Brannick, M.T. and Levine, E.L., 2019). To
understand the motivation, the best theory is Maslow need of hierarchy which tell about that
there are various needs which is classified into two factors. The factors which is included is
intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation means a basic needs of employees which
is fulfilled by food shelter, clothes and many more. If these are satisfied then they follow the
hierarchy which are physiological, social, safety, esteem needs and self-actualization needs. On
the other hand, there are extrinsic needs which is fulfilled by achieving the external factors which
include pay, rewards, incentives, fringe benefits and many more. There is some difference
between the internal and external factors as Extrinsic motivation is derived from external stimuli,
while intrinsic motivation is derived from within. When you have been intrinsically inspired, you
do something but you enjoy it and it gives your personal benefit. When you're extrinsically
inclined, you do something for the sake of receiving a monetary payout.
The various factors which motivate employees to work
There are various factors which means that they there are various factors so that it helps
organization to motivate their employees which help them to achieve business objectives. With
the help of this, they have to motivate them by giving rewards, benefits, compensation and other
factors (Watson, T., 2017). So, that they have to retain their employees for long time period
which help them to attain the business objectives. However, they have to develop strategies in
