1. An introduction to chosen organization
The report prepared as under helps in examining the information about
operations and project management. Operations are the unit in a company which
would be helpful in carrying out all the goods which are linked with examination of
maintenance, quality and authenticity as well. Management of operations is a critical
process for delivering products and services to customers by having a control on
day-to-day problems and issues. This includes stages of planning, developing
strategies and monitoring overall operational areas in department of the business.
Hence, the operation and project management are important for utilizing the sources
in a efficient and effective manner which would be useful in supply chain
management, logistics and achieveing the aims and objectives of business. This
report would help to carry out discussion in context of operation management of
company chosen Unilever (Choi, Ahn, Ji, Lee and Yi, 2020). The business enterprise
is well known manufacturing corporation for all consumer related goods over the
globe. It was being established in year 1929 and headquartered in London, England.
The key products of company are beverages, food, soaps and personal care items
which are most demanded goods in the marketplaces. The report is going to
examine the difference between operations and operation management, reviewing
the principles and need for continuous development by implementation of several
theories such as lean principles and a plan would be made for binging change into
goods and operational functions. Also, the other element of the report would be
showing the policies, strategies and project life cycle stages which are to be carried
out during the project for diminishing the absenteeism of the staff. This can be done
with the help of creating business cases and applying PLC in an accurate, reliable
and proper manner. Unilever is the most well-known and popular company having
strong brand image and developing consumer goods. The company owes
approximately 400 brands for serving competitive products in the market. The
organization also consist of three departments such as home care, personal care
and beauty, refreshments and foods (Chunyan, Ye, Fei and Minghui, 2021). Unilever
is a brand which is famous for its quality based essential products, reasonable rates
and consumer services. All these are being the main application of Unilever
company for delivering right products for the right customers. It has acquired a

higher place into market and has covered wider areas all over the world. The
organization goods are getting synchronized and regulated in over 190 territories.
Unilever would be maintaining their operational area-based departments by
controlling and viewing their day-to-day practices for rendering quality focused
products and services. At present time, the Unilever seem to concentrate on
producing more of healthy things and products at the time of COVID-19. The aim is
to render dairy and farm related products which would be giving a healthy life and
healthy diet to the customers.
2. An explanation of operation vs operations management
Operation is a term that encompasses every capability related to assembly,
creation, and provisioning. These are the exercises each association does to
complete its welfare guidelines. It includes the most common methods of dealing
with project quality, plans for extracting and using assets, and meeting customer-
