Part A:
Describe the steps of union organization:
The first step associated with the matter of union organization will provide bird’s eye
view of the whole process. In order to elaborate the steps of union organization first, it is
essential to throw a little light on the topic of union organization. A union or labor organization
is formed with the membership as well as participation of workers of same trade or organization.
Union organization occurs with the purpose of advancing the interests of its members as well as
addressing the issues faced by the employees of all the departments of the organization
(Markowitz, 2015).
Step 1: Formation of Union Organization Committee:
There are several steps that should be adopted at the time of organizing a union. One of
them is to form a committee which will organize the union. The committee will represent all the
major departments of the organization. The committee will also reflect racial ethnical as well as
gender diversity. The members of the committee will be selected from the employees of different
department of the Write Way Stationary Company. The members will be selected depending on
the parameters like- knowledge associated with the employee rights, knowledge associated with
the rights of the employer, Knowledge associated with the structure of the organization, work
experience and so on. The selected members should be capable of taking the responsibility to
represent their respective departments. Moreover, they should be sensitive to the issues affecting
employees of the same department or the other.
Step: 2 Adoption of a robust framework or program to address issues:

The committee developed with an aim to organize the union, should adopt as issue,
agenda as well as strategy. More specifically, it can be stated that, the coma robust framework,
so that issues affecting the employees can be addressed. In this case, the issues, which will be
addressed by the union are -issues related to wage, wage discrimination, benefits provided to the
employees, work environment or work culture affecting the employees. This step will also
involve the adoption of relevant agenda by the union. For instance, ensuring equal rights for all
employees, is one considered to be pone of the popular agendas that the unions generally adopt.
Step 3: Made the majority Sign-up on Union membership Cards:
Members are considered to be the strength of the Union. This is the reason why the
members of the committee are always eager to make the majority of the employees of all
department to join the union and Sign-up on Union membership Cards. In other words, the
employees who are the members of the committee constructed for union organization, always
attempt to make the union more powerful by asking their co-workers to participate in the UE as
well as support the programs arranged by the union by signing the Union membership cards.
Thus, the goal of the committee is to make a sizable majority of the employees to sign up the
union cards. The cards signed by the employees are considered as petition, especially in the case
of election of state as well as federal labor board.
Step 4: Win the Election arranged by the Union:
In the process of union organizing, election is a vital step. After the cards of the membership are
signed up by the sizable majority of the employees, the signed cards will then be used as the
petition, especially for the purpose of the Union election. The election will be supported by the
labor board of the specific State. Labor board will take a little time of about a few weeks. In
