PROJECT MANAGEMENT
3.2 Justification
The project priority matrix was created for the project “Product launching event for
new Uniqlo smart T-shirt in Orchard Central Singapore”. It is found that in order to launch
the t-shirt, the project managers are generally asked to finish the entire event within the
estimated time by not compromising the quality of the event. However, in doing so if the
budget of the project changes then it is acceptable but not desirable.
4. Work breakdown Structure
Work breakdown structure is considered as one of the project deliverable that generally
assists in organizing the work of the team into manageable sections (Fitzpatrick 2016). As per
the PMBOK, it is one of the deliverable oriented hierarchical decomposition of the work that
is mainly executed by the project team.

6. Cost estimation
Cost estimation is defined as an approximation of the cost that is related with
program, project as well as operation. It is found that cost estimate is considered as the
product of the cost estimating procedure (Aksenov et al. 2015). The main purpose of
forecasting the cost is to finish the project within the defined scope. It is identified that cost
estimation is divided into the following:
Top down approach: Top down approach generally starts with identification of
major aspects of the project. It generally needs history as well as knowledge about the pricing
of the project quite accurately (Tichavska and Tovar 2015).
Bottom up approach: In bottom up estimation, the project managers engage in
tallying their costs upwards, which generally initiate at the bottom and accounting for each of
the cost (Kayaci et al. 2014). It is considered as one of the basis method of estimation. This
process is generally utilized in estimating the project cost due to its accuracy.
It is found that bottom up estimation is mainly utilized in order to estimate the cost for
the project “Product launching event for new Uniqlo smart T-shirt in Orchard Central
Singapore”. This is because by utilizing bottom up estimation, the estimation of cost for the
project can be done accurately. As reining in costs as well as keeping to the estimated budget
is most important for the project and thus bottom up estimation is very much useful.
