INTRODUCTION
Human resources management is the activity which is managed by a person, having
special knowledge about legal framework and practices to work for employees and increase the
business activities. This is fundamental procedure of recruitment, selection, orientation,
administration, motivation, wellness, compliances and compensation which are used in
organisation to run a business effectively (Bratton and Gold, 2017). HR is responsible person in
all companies as it understand the problem of employees and build relationship to work properly
with its workforce. In business industry HR handle all activities and maintain the good
performance of business in order to make it profitable. To have a deep knowledge about human
resources management Sainsbury's has been selected that is second biggest chain of super market
in UK. This organisation is managing by HRM department who formulates various policies to
run a business. This report is prepared to know about Human resources and company's
legislations effectively so, various topics are discussed in report such as: purpose and scope,
effectiveness of human resource management in company, external and internal factors that
affects decision making and human resource management practices in work related context
effectively.

About company - Sainsbury's is the largest business supermarket in UK which was
founded in 1869, by John James Sainsbury with shop in Dury Lane, London. This organisation
has became largest retailer company in Groceries. The mission of such organisation is “To be
first choice of their customers for delivering quality of products and great service at competitive
price”. Its main purpose is to provide high quality of food at fair prices and increase the corners
to get short and long gain. The objective of such organisation are to increase customer's
expectations during their shopping experience, deliver great services to people, provide
outstanding quality and choice and increase the organisational productivity as well as
profitability.
Meaning of HRM
Human resource management is defined as the series of decision which impact the
relation among employer as well as staff. This effects various constituencies as well as purposed
