INTRODUCTION
The business environment contains several components that help a company find prospects
for growth, support in preparing, collect funds to enhance market efficiency and competitiveness.
Asda is chosen for recognizing the facets of the market climate (Kang, Lee and Kim, 2010).
Since 1949 the company has been active in the retail market, and its offices are based in South
Bank, West Yorkshire, England. It offers services and products by shopping centers, George
Stores, supermarkets, filling stations for petrol and much more. This report comprises of various
types, purpose, sizes, scope and specific legal structure of organisation. Along with, analysis
their objectives as well as structure of business entity. Additionally, determine impacts of macro
environment on business operation, SWOT analysis with external macro factors.
TASK 1
P1. Different types and purposes of organisations and legal structure.
Organizations are organizations set up, run and operated by group of people to achieve
common goals. They have various priorities, including social security, fulfilling consumer
demands, addressing societal issues and achieving higher incomes.
Public Organisation: This form of organization, with the intention of providing social
services, is regulated and operated by the country's economy officials. They work for the
government by providing services on request of the country's citizens. They are also classified as
non-profit organizations because they are not set up to gain money as well as provide social
services for the general populace. One of the listed public entities is Crown Prosecution Service,
which offers expert advice to enforcement authorities, serving England and Wales residents, and
much more.
Purpose: Crown Prosecution Service performs operations with the purpose to prosecute
criminal cases, presenting information to investigating organizations and conducting criminal
prosecutions at its home country.
Legal Structure: The company has following central government based structure and
follow all the rules and regulations.
Private Organisation: The organization which executes surgeries in personal business and
therefore is Perhaps not operated and handled by public bodies. They execute business purposes
to attain more sustainability by fulfilling requirements for its merchandise of targeted clients and

thus called profit businesses. The selected private firm out of recognized cases is Asda that
performs surgeries within retail industry by supplying food and non food products and solutions.
Purpose: The objective of Asda would be to increase consumer satisfaction by Supplying
required services and products on appropriate period of time and earning substantial profits
(Hilton and Platt, 2013).
Legal Structure: The Asda organisation can follow limited company structure which do
not offers their shares in public but usage methods of IPO with the aim of generate more
profitability.
Voluntary organisation: These are non-governmental organizations managed by groups
of people whose purposes are linked to offering social programs for community and others to
improve or expand. These bodies are separate from national or local governments. Sources of
volunteer organisations include Oxfam, the British Heart Foundation, Sightsavers, National
Trust, and hence. From the examples, the chosen charitable agency is Oxfam, an autonomous
organisation established in 1942.
Purpose: The aim of Oxfam's life is to increase social quality of life by reducing poverty,
and then provide support to individual concerned by unpredictable tragedies.
Legal Structure: It followed Trust legal structure because Organizations that are
established to administer resources for the public at large or entities whose roles are clearly
established. We do not have participation systems, and explicitly forge friendships with cash
contributors, administrators, and properties.
P2. Size and scope of different types of organisations.
Different types of organisations with size and scope are as follows:
Public organization: The Selected public business is Crown Prosecution service that provides
qualitative services within non-ministerial branch.
Size: The selected firm includes large employee size such as 14 teams that has approx
6000 work-force and performs surgeries round the fields of both England and Wales.
