INTRODUCTION
Operation management refers to a part of essential functioning and provision of health services.
Operation management refers to an operation design and improvement of the system and
processes. It help to deliver healthcare services within organization. In the healthcare operation
management have and important role for improving and optimizing plans and schedules. They
are the one who can managed bed maximization and enhance the uses of healthcare facilities. In
this report, there is a discussion about role and responsibility of operational manager within
healthcare. There is also discussion about different personal skills which need to be prioritized in
leadership through various operational task. There is also a discussion about different theories of
leadership and how these theories can support management. There is also discussion about
leadership skills for the development of team. There is also discussion about different strategies
which are used to resolve conflict which are arise in between individual within healthcare
premises (Rydenfält, (2017)).

P1 Describing roles and responsibility of operational managers in healthcare practices
During Healthcare practice, there are some of the roles and responsibility of operational
manager which are going to be discussed further.
In any healthcare premises, there are different task in which operational management
need to perform in their day-to-day operations within hospital. They perform different task which
involves roles and responsibilities of operational manager. Operational manager are the one who
are responsible for the budget, operation and economic and financial goals along with objective
with efficient performance. They are the one who established procedure and policy for delivering
effective healthcare services to the patient which can lead to create better health improvement
and can provide effective outcome. Operational management can support high quality health care
services with partnering with other management of hospitals and healthcare professional team.
Operational managers need to manage the health care professional as a team which can lead to
provide work on effective delivery of healthcare services to the patient for their improved health.
Operational management have the responsibility to influence strategic decision which is related
with different functions of healthcare premises which can implemented in effective way for

effective delivery of services to patient for better outcome. There are having the responsibility to
resolve the operational issues which can in the implementation of different operations which
need to be resolve and should be analyzed in effective manner (Myron, (2017)). Operational
manager having the responsibility to carry out the operation in a cost-effective way. They are
having the responsibility to formulate the strategy and efficiently implement them. They are
having the responsibility to manage budget and forecast. They are also having the responsibility
to recruit, train and provide supervision to a staff members. They are also having the
responsibility to increase the quality of consumer services. They are having the responsibility to
resolve the issues which are in the any operation realted with healthcare premises. There is need
to implement the strategy in effective manner that can lead to create effective care to the patient
with effective delivery of healthcare.
P2 Reason of different personal skills prioritizing leadership through different healthcare
practices
There are different reasons due to which different personal skills are attached with
leadership. There are different operation task within healthcare practices which are going to be
discussed further.
Leadership is the one which can create the difference between struggling team and
effective team. Leadership provide the opportunity to be effective team to work inefficient matter
to provide reasonable and outstanding result (Dorval, (2021)).
As a leader in the healthcare industry, there is need to have some unique set of skill
which can help to improve and enhance the ability to work with more efficiently as a leader and
can enhance their skills continuously.
Prioritizing personal skill that is through different operational task within healthcare
practice can lead to create an effective team that can work effectively for higher productivity and
effective result.
Leadership have teamwork ability to deliver fast and easy services which can help to
provide improved outcome for the patient and results improvement of patient health. Due to
having different skill to a leader that can take finance minimizing process for mistake and errors
while delivering healthcare services to the patient and lead to create an impact for effective
result.
