Abstract
Current research is based on the equality gender female as it is one of the major concerns
for every business organization to manage their workplace. As, it also motivates employee at
working area that directly contributes in enhancing overall performance of the company. along
with this, company also focus on treating male and female workers in equal manner by providing
them equal opportunities at working area. This may assist in maintaining positive and healthy
relation among all the workers within the company. In addition of this, while undertaking this
investigation researcher also includes various methods and techniques to gather relevant data and
information about the specified topic and area. As questionnaire is prepared by the researcher
that provide vast information and also assist in determining the accurate decision at the end of
the investigation. Maintaining proper equality among male and female workers assist in reducing
the employee turnover and at the same time also may contributes in promoting healthy working
environment.

The study is about the most prestigious retailer of clothing, food, home products, financial
service from United Kingdom which has been created in 1894 guided of strong principle:
integrity, equality, diversity, inspiration, innovation. In this company there is a majority of male
employees with the 58%senior managers and 67% of the board members as me. The female
employees in this organisation are under-represented in the senior role where the remuneration is
more.
Gender inequality admit that the women and men employees are not treated equally and this
has impact on a person experience (Wu and Cheng, 2016). In this company women employees
are not able to move up with high paid positions as comparison to men.
The organisation faces many different issues from the gender equality at work place to give the
less pay and responsibilities to female staff also impact on leader ship in managing gender
equality at work place.
In an organization, the role of equality plays a vital role as it directly impact on employee's
performance and organizational working culture. If company treat all the workers equally then
they feel their importance within the organization and tries to give their endeavour for attaining
set objectives Weeks And et. al. (, 2014). It will immediately contribute in improving
performance of business and its workers also. In this regard, equality in the working area helps in
bringing all the workers together from different backgrounds. As it directly promotes intra
company networking and boosts employees morale by builds cohesive teams focus on attaining
positive and predetermined targets of company in stipulated time frame Alderden and Skogan,
( 2014). Thus, it is crucial for a business organization to build optimistic and healthy
surroundings wherein each employee get equal opportunities to show their talent and
capabilities. This can be effective for making workforce strong and capable to attain their goals
in effectual way. By this, organization can boost it productivity level and attain higher success at
market place. Implementing equality at working area is consider as a crucial activity within the
company that help in motivating employees to do their best and accomplish their set goals in
stipulated time frame. Furthermore, promoting equality is significant for company as it

Recommendation
Some recommendations are mention below:
It has been recommended that implementing equality at workplace is one of the essential
activity for organisation as it assist in motivating as well as encouraging workers. By this
worker can attain their target and also build positive relation with their co-workers.
Company needs to provide equal and fair treatment to all employees perform their task at
workplace. This will aid in making them more productive and efficient by which they
easily enhance overall performance of company and its workforce.
Company needs to include democratic leadership style in which leader encourage
workers to take involvement entire business activities. By this they can share their views
and ideas with manager so that they can easily understand their performance.
Involvement of employees directly contributes in boost-up their morale towards the job
roles and responsibilities within the company.
Company should give proper training and development to both male and female workers
so that they feel their importance towards the organisation and its set goals. By this,

company can easily attain their objectives and also retain workers for longer period of
time. It may reduce the employee turnover of business organisation and make workers

Organisation needs to influence workers to take initiatives in team working, tries to build
positive relation among team members and so on. It help in developing positive and
healthy working environment wherein all the employees get fair and equal opportunities
to show their efforts. This will directly contribute in bringing all the employees in a team
and at the same time also may enhance their working abilities to attain their set
objectives.
According to the data it is recommended that 15 of the respondents feel like with a proper
training they can company can maintain a better workplace. Moreover, in order to solve
problems 15 of the participants think that by providing equal opportunities most of the
issues can be resolved.
Conclusion
Equality is considered as a crucial activity for company as it help business organisation
to bring all the workers together so that they easily execute their task and job in impressive way.
In this regards, proper implementation of effective leadership help company in developing as
well as creating positive working environment in which employees perform their best and
accomplished their targets in stipulated time frame. By this, company can improve overall
performance level of workers through which they get motivated. It directly contributes in
boosting employee morale that support workers intake initiatives to perform their best at
workplace and at the same time also maintain positive relation with all the employees perform at
working area. Furthermore, while imposing equality at working area, company also face various
issues like Issue related with employee’s behaviour, Fail in accepting changes, Increase
employee turnover and so on. These are affect performance of workers in negative way by which
they get demotivated towards their task and activities. Thus, it is crucial for business organisation
to maintain better coordination among people, provide equal pay, fair decisions, give equal
opportunities to show their abilities within the company. This will contribute in improving
employee’s productivity level at working area by which firm also attaining higher success.
Moreover, add on to this, after analysing the report, it is understood that maintaining gender
equality between males and females considered to be the best thing which a company can do

ego can create problems. But one should not forget that male have the tendency to make
appropriate strategies for achieving goals and objectives. Therefore, a combination of both can
provide a better result to the company. Literature review is a main part of present investigation
and its main aim to attaining all the research objectives by consisting secondary sources such as
articles, books, journals and others. In the literature review part, there has been discussed about
the gender equality at workplace. Gender equality is related to treating male and female
employees equally. Benefits related to gender equality has been described in detailed manner
such as gain better reputation, different viewpoints and others. The issues arise from the gender
equality are unequal pay, promotion of women employees and the unethical employees
behaviour. Research methodology is helpful in providing way of collection of information from
different methods and also analyse them effectively. There has been interpretivism research
philosophy, deductive research approach, quantitative research choice and exploratory research
design used. In order to collection of information, there has been primary method used and in
this questionnaire has been developed.
Research limitations
While doing the research, there can be a possibility that researcher can face various
limitation with regards to time and cost. Reason being when conducting a field survey, gathering
information might take couple of days which can exceed time limitation of research. With the
increase in time cost may also increase. Moreover, which can lead to over expenses. Thus, it is
important for researcher to manage proper time and fund at the time of gathering data towards
the selected topic. This can be effective in improving the possibilities of attaining positive and
reliable outcomes at the end of the investigation. Along with this, another limitation that has
been identified is related to data collection because researcher get confined to the questions
written in the questionnaire therefore asking for some more details regarding the topic becomes
limited.
Further research
This investigation provides vast information that help investigator to evaluate the ways
by which company can easily manage equality at working area. For further studies, researcher
can analysis the behaviour of workers working within the organization so as to identified
whether the company is following all the taking any kind of measures for eliminating and

easily maintain the work ethics within their working area that directly contributes in enhancing
employee productive that directly generate larger profitability level at market place.
Alternative research methodology
In conducting present investigation, there has been questionnaire as methodology used.
The main reason behind using questionnaire is that it helps in collection of information easily
and within less period of time. For the researcher, it is effective to collect reliable information
from the different respondents which have experience as well as knowledge. Other than this,
interview is an alternative methodology that can be used. The interview can be conducted
telephonic and face to face. One of the main advantage of undertaking this methods is that it
includes open-ended question in which selected respondents give detailed information. Along
with this, researcher also get quick response from respondents that helped them in taking right
and accurate decision at the end of the investigation. In this research, interview has not
conducted because it is costly and mote time taking.
