TASK – 2
AC 2.1 The current skills and competencies again professional standards and organizational
goals:
Being a Team leader at Morrison, I need various skills and competenies such as
leadership, motivation, communication, decision-making, conflict management and others.
Skill audit is the best way to determine my existing competency level and areas where I
lack, so that, necessary actions can be undertaken to bring improvement in my performance.
However, there are few areas where I noticed poor performance. As I am not able to make quick
decisions, however, considering current dynamic market situation, companies need to respond to
the market changes quickly otherwise, they cannot grab the benefit of market opportunities.
Therefore, it is the main area where I need to bring improvement so as to make
rationalized decisioning a TL, I have been assigned with the prime responsibility to lead all the
team members, however, poor leadership skills questioned my performance, hence, required
improvements.
Conflicts can also take place in the team which creates negative environment in the team
and affects other members too. Although I tried my best to overcome such conflicts, still, people
are not satisfied with my decisions. Therefore, I need to focus on improvising conflict
management skills and maintain good bonding among all the members.
