Marks and Spencer’s group Is major multinational retailer organisation who are
having the good reputation all over the world and they are specialist in selling
product that are made up of the clothes and their portfolio off product also include
the product’s like food products, home furniture and more many more retail products.
currently this company have around 959 stores all over the United Kingdom that
includes 61Only the food stores and through their advertisement on the table
television they are able to attract customers who can buy their product and services
and they also probably offered the joint venture and food delivery services with the
Ocado.
Any year 1998 this company become the 1st retailer store who fill the pre tax profit
off over 1 billion that makes them famous within the United Kingdom and their
stakeholders were also surprised by their performance. This company is one of the
top most retailers due to their quality food products and they also maintain quality in
all other product and services sell by them.
2. An explanation of operation vs operations management
Operations Are the work that are managing in the inner working of the business so it
can be run effectively and generate a profits. Weather company make a product,
provide services or whether they sell their services every small business owner has
oversee the design and management of behind the sense of work. The operational
management is responsible to manage the all activities at the workplace an part of
the production of goods and services. they are direct responsible to the activities that
are part of the company include the managing both of the process from operations,
planning, designing an improving the operational strategies that help them to take
competitive advantages within the market where they are operating their business.
On the other side operational management is the administration of business
practices that helps to create a high level of productivity and efficiency that is
possible for the organization to take competitive advantages. it is directly concerned
with the developing a raw material into the finished good and the Labor into goods
and services as efficiently as possible to maximize the companies revenue and profit
that make them top in the industry and they are able to take competitive advantages
within the market. Marks and Spencer stop most reader within their industry due to
their operational management practices that help them to grow effectively. Weather

operations management principles within the chosen
organization
There are some operational management principles that could be applied by the
Operational managers. it is necessary for the Marks and Spencer Follow the
principles of operational management so they can take competitive advantages and
they can effectively increase their effectiveness of the operations and I do success
within the business.

It is necessary that operational manager of the company should be focused on the problems Not on
the techniques, it is becausr no tools has a proper solution so it is necessary for the operation
manager to focus toward the problem so they can solve it an make their operations more effective
so they can produce better quality of product I said it says that can satisfy the customers needs and
demand.
Organisation
The process of manufacturing are interconnected and all of the element that should be predictable
and constant in order to achieve some better outcome for the company and coming again increase
their profits. it should be properly organised and process of manufacturing should be better so
company can increase their production level an achieve success within the market where their
operating their business and they can show their results.
Fundamentals
The manager within the operations should know that how to comply with the fundamentals of the
operational management becausr this is the only key off get this access within the business. it is
necessary and ascential to ensure that accuracy of inventory data and other general task to achieve
the desired result. have the inventory will be managed then company will able to deliver the goods
and services to the customers so operational management have to ensure that inventory of the
company should be maintained.

Managers of the company are expected to get the matrix and rules, determine the responsibility of
their subordinates and regularly cheque have the companies objectives are achieved or not.
