Principles of operations management
Reality
This principle focuses on problem rather than the techniques. Because no one technique and
tools which provides Universal solution to the company. Astorn Martin also fooled this principle
to solve any problem.
Fundamentals
This is the another principle of operations management which focuses on following all the
fundamentals and basics of the organisation. Astorn Martin also works on this fundamentals and
make sure about their products.
Taylor's theory of scientific management
This is one of the popular approach of operations management. This approach has been
published by Taylor, and they said that by optimizing and simplifying jobs can increase the
productivity. If the workers and managers of Aston martin works together they can produce
more innovative products. But on the opposite if the manager leaves the employee on their own

company (Rawat and et.al, 2019). As Taylor knows that workers can easily get motivated by the
pay so they initiated an idea which is very popularly known as “a fair day's pay for a fair day's
work” which means that if the worker is not performing well in a day, they do not get better pay
of the day as compared to other employees.
Principals of scientific management
This approach works on some principles which is “rule of thumb” this approach believes on
determining the most efficient way to complete any particular task. Another thing is
management just do not assign any work to the workers but they should assign such job which
matches the desires and interest of the worker, and also management must monitor the
performance of the workers and ensure them that they should use a better way to work.
Six sigma methodology
Six sigma is a very important methodology which is implemented in Aston martin and it assist
the business to improvise the current procedure of product of the company by eliminating
defects. So this theory has deep impact on the operation management of the company because
by implementing this theory in the organisation, operation management can reduce the chances
of creating defective products which can safeguard the money of the company and also it helps
