The case study will be conducted on BBC, a British public service broadcaster. The research will explore the concept of data protection, its role in addressing challenges of emerging technologies, and its influence on the performance of public sector organisations. The research will use qualitative research methods, including interviews and questionnaires.

confidential information. Data protection is the first as a crucial aspect which is effective for
organisations in protecting the confidential information that are effective for the growth and
success of business. British broadcasting Corporation which is operating as BBC it is a British
public service broadcaster. It is Statutory Corporation with a Royal charter. The company was
established in the year of 1922 with the potential efforts of John Reith. The company was

technology, there for business is now a days are based on advanced tools and technologies as in
today’s modern business environment organizations are seeking for implementing hi tech
technologies as these are effective in making organisational operations more easy and reliable.
Higher emergence of technologies is also having various disadvantages like businesses are facing
multiple challenges among which data protection is the key issue (Picazo-Vela, Gutiérrez-
Martínez and Luna-Reyes, 2012). It is important for the public sector organisation to protect their
information for easy success of business there for data protection is performing an effective role
in systematic execution of organisational operations, suitable implementation of effective
strategies, production of lacking confidential information, make it private data more confidential,
ensuring about safety of personal information etc. These are the key roles which are mainly
performed by and data protection and also creating value for reducing the challenges which

present investigation work inductive approach will be the most suitable tool for analysing the

organisations due to emerging tools and technologies there for inductive approach is most
suitable for qualitative analysis and the present investigation is based on qualitative research as
inductive approach will also be create benefits for the research in providing in-depth information
why the support of hypothesis and models.
Data Collection tools: Data collection is the fundamental aspect which is needs to be considered
by the researcher for the purpose of gathering valuable information. This section is mainly

encompasses over primary and secondary sources. Primary investigation is effective in gathering
first hand information and in this data is mainly gathered through survey, interview,
questionnaire, focus group etc. On the other side secondary investigation is effective in
developing theoretical base via gathering information through books, journals, published
research articles etc. In the present investigation work both the sources will be applicable in
gathering valuable information, Therefore primary investigation will be executed through
conducting survey with the support of questionnaire as it is effective in gathering information
from the large population. On the other side, secondary investigation will be supportive in
developing literature review, therefore, this is effective in enhancing the understanding of the
learner towards the chosen subject area.
Sampling: This section of investigation is of categorised among probabilistic and non-
probabilistic sampling, therefore, suitable selection of sampling is required to assist the work in
right manner (Sørensen and Torfing, 2011). In the present investigation work, information will
be gather through random sampling, therefore, in this respondents are randomly select for
gathering valuable information. In the present research 40 is will be the sample size which will
