INTRODUCTION
Individual development within an organisation is most crucial factor as it support in
achieving higher productivity and competitive edge at marketplace. It put emphasis toward
enhancing the skills and capability of employees by providing them regular training and
providing direction to them (Alred, 2014). The current report is based on Apple incorporation
which is a multinational brand which offer variety of products like online services, consumer
electronics and computer software and is headquartered in California. This report includes the
information regarding several skills, behaviour and knowledge required by HR professional
along with their skill audit and professional development plan. It also elaborate about difference
between organisation & individual and training & development along with continuous learning
& professional development. It further explains about the contribution of HPW to employees
engagement and approaches of performance management.

P1. Knowledge, skills and behaviour required by HR professionals
Human resources management is defined as the formal systems which consists of set of
activities to be performed by the HR managers for managing the personnel as well as other
resources of organisation in a direction to achieve desired goals and objectives (Bolman, and
Deal, 2017). The Apple Plc facing several issues that are related with employees which are
crucial to operate business practices. Hence in order to overcome with theses issues proper
management of employees is crucial. But to maintain human resources in most productive
manner following skills, knowledge and capabilities are required within HR manager which is
mentioned below:
Knowledge:-
Management:- It is crucial for HR manager to ensure that all the activities within
organisation must be perform in effective manner to achieve desired outcome. Therefore,
it is crucial for the HR manager of Apple Plc to have a thorough understanding of several
management principles and tactics so that all the task can be performed in most
productive and timely manner.

Computer:- In order to formulate effective strategies and ensure proper execution of
operations it is crucial for a HR manager to have a thorough understanding of computer
and information technology (Choiand and Ruona, 2011). Being a global brand the HR
manager have to maintain the information and confidential data for formulating strategic
decisions and communicating effectively using appropriate media to other located
branches at different geographical locations.
Skills:-
Leadership Skill:- The HR manager must have leadership skills in order to guide and
direct the human resource of the organisation in effective manner. Leadership skills
support the HR manager of Apple Plc in directing the efforts of its employees toward the
accomplishment of organisational goals and objectives.
Team Work:- The HR manager must have the capability to manage and work within a
team in effective manner (Earley and Porritt, 2014). The HR manager of Apple Plc must
have the capability to work as a team players so that proper coordination can be
maintained among the employees.
Communication:- The communicational skills are must within a HR manager as they are
responsible for maintain positive relationship among employees at workplace. The HR
manager of Apple Plc must have good communication skill which support them in
maintain positive relationship with its employees and influence them effectively in
brining changes to organisation.
Behaviour
Self-motivated:- HR manager must be self-motivated in term of its operations so that
appropriate strategies and action plan can be formulated toward the success of
organisation. When the HR manager of Apple Plc have the feeling of self-motivation then
they become able to motivate their employees to work in a particular direction toward the
accomplishment of organisational goals and objectives.
Problem Solving:- The HR manager must have the capability to critically evaluating the
issues within the organisation and provide appropriate solution to the present problem.
Apple Plc is an international brand which maintains a diversified workforce and hence
several conflicts or issues arises among them due to different in cultural background.
