INTRODUCTION
Developing Individual is a continuous method which is helpful for the development of
the individuals. With the help of developing individual methods, individual get a right direction
how to enhance the high skills and knowledge. For the development of every individual in the
company, HP professional is responsible to provide training and developments sessions so that
every individual employees can easily develop their skills and knowledge so that all the
individual employees can make a good them in organization so that they all can give their best
efforts to accomplish the organizational goal. In this report Morrisons organization is chosen.
Morrisons is a large British supermarket organization. It is consider the 4th largest supermarket
chain in United Kingdom. The main motive of this report is to identify the professional
knowledge, skills and also behaviour which is require for the HR professional and develop a
professional development plan. This report determine the individual and organizational learning
and determine the requirement of continuous learning and professional development and also
define how HPW give contribution in employees engagement and also identify various
approaches of performance management.
TASK 1
P1 Professional knowledge, skills and behaviours that are required by HR professionals.
The role of the HR professional is very essential for every organization. HP professional
is responsible for each and activities of the organization which is related to the employees day to
day task and their development. There are many duties and responsibilities of HP in the
organizations such as recruitment, selection, training , development, induction and other
employees related activities. Morrisons company is a large retailer company which deal with
many stores and supermarkets so company have to maintain the each and every activities
systematically in the organization. With the help of good HP professional Morrisons maintain
all the daily activities (Stewart and et. Al,2020).HP professional require appropriate knowledge,
skills and behaviour that are discussed below-
Knowledge Required
HR Professional required many types of knowledge which make the HP role more
effective. Morrisons company HP professional require good knowledge about the recruitment &

selection process and besides this HP professional should have a knowledge about computer so
that it become easy for the HR to deal with lots of employees in the organization. Recruitment & Selection – HR Professional should know about the recruitment process
and also have a knowledge that how to recruit a high talented employees so that HR can
select high talented employees which will help to increase the Morrisons company
growth. HR Professional should hire appropriate employees and then conduct selection
process after that should conduct a effective training and development sessions ( Kirwan,
2016).
Computer Knowledge –HR Professional should have the computer knowledge so that HR
easily perform all the activities with the help of computer and also maintain all the data
and records on computer. Morrisons company HR professional should know how to
operate functions of computer so that HR professional easily maintain the records on
excel sheets and world documents and other appropriate and useful tools of the computer.
Skills Required
HR professional of Morrisons company required many skills which is helpful to maintain
all relationship between company and employees of the company. These skills are given below- Communication Skills – Communication skills is the most important and demanded
skills of the HR professional of the Morrisons. With the help of fluent and effective
communication skills, HR professional build a strong relationship between the employees
and the other clients of the company.
Critical problem solving skills – HR professional should know that how to solve the
critical problems of their employees so that employees can easily perform their job
without any problem. Morrisons company HR professional should have the critical
problem solving skills (King and et. Al, 2016).
Behaviour Required
HR Professional of the Morrisons should know consider some behaviour skills which
help the HR professional tom deal with other employees in a bater way. Leadership Quality – HR Professional should have the good leadership power because it
is necessary in the organization. HR professional need to lead the whole organization so
Morrisons company required that HR professional who contain a good leadership quality.
