INTRODUCTION Management and operations are major practices of the business which regulated and operated for the purpose of gain high profit in the market. The management is basically comes under the administration of any business or company. It is completely responsible for manage all operations within business environment. Therearemain functions ofthemanagementareplanning,organizing,staffing, controlling, and directing etc. the management is also responsible for the decision- making. In which the top-level management at any firm need to take some effective decisions for run all operations on a progressive path.
Key Operations Various key operations of the Tesco are capacity, sales and supply chain management. In which the manager of the company is supervising these all operations for systematic management. The manager also focuses on improve efficiency of the company by reducing waste aspect within production process.
Approaches to Operations Management There are operations management includes many approaches where the leader and the manager both are playing great role. In these all approaches there are mentioned three major approaches to operations management below; Total Quality Management (TQM):This approach was developed for the purpose of reducing errors and mistakes within production process. In which the manager of the Tesco need to give orders to the leader and production department for avoid such elements and actions within the manufacturing plant which promote errors in the production process. In other side the leader need to employ manager's orders and decisions within manufacturing plant for reduce errors. TQM is very necessary approach for the Tesco for save their lots of useful cost and time in the production processes. Just in Time (JIT):It is one of the major strategies of the management. JIT is important in for the Tesco to improve its efficiency and performance in the market. It is also helpful in decrease waste aspect of the company. Here is the manager's role is, it is responsible for create a systematic production schedule for directly order raw-material from suppliers. In which it needs to order only such material which necessary in the current time production. In other hand here is the leader is responsible to identify the actual raw-material need of the production department.

Kaizen:kaizenapproachrefersthetermcalled;“Continuous Improvement”whichiscompletelybasedontheJapanesebusiness techniques. It is guide to businesses for self-improvement. Currently the manager at Tesco fully taking advantages from this approach. In which the manager already employed continuous improvement term in their business environment.TheleaderalsocompletelyunderstandtheKaizen's advantages in the company. On the basis of this approach the leader always try to motivate and inspire their employees in the teamwork. The manager provides specific guidelines and decisions to the leader for improvement of the Tesco. In which the leader necessarily need to implement these all guidelines and decisions at their workplace. So, these roles of the manager and the leader are also very important for the good performance of the Tesco.

With the help of operations management the company able to improve their over all performance in the market. With this the company also able to reduce many errors and issues within its business operations. In short the operations' management is a systematic administrative practice which is conducting in the Tesco for the purpose of run all operations in progressive way. There are included major functions of the operations' management which are highly important in achievement of the company's objectives. Control and Distribution System:This function of the operations' management enables to the company for properly control and regulate their distribution system in the market. Proper controlling is very necessary in the distribution system or channel for the reduction of waste and cost. With this the Tesco is also easily able to achieve its revenue maximization objective.

Impacts of External Factors There are many external factors are existing in the business environment of the Tesco which are highly impacting to the operational management and decision-making of the leaders and the managers. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):The Tesco always need to fulfil CSR in the different market segments for maintain its high goodwill in global market. In which the manager needs to take effective decisions towards fulfil corporate social responsibility. In other hand the leader needs follow those decisions of the manager which related to the CSR at their workplace. Culture:The manager and the leader are always responsible for follow good culture within their operations for achieve its all business objectives in specific time period. For this the manager need to provide proper guidance to the leader, and the leader need to implement such strategies at workplace for take effective advantages from this factor.
Appropriate management and leadership approaches Situational Leadership:On the basis of Hersey and Blanchard situational model the leader always need to adjust and set their leadership style according the teamwork situations.Thisadjustmentleadershipstyleistooimportantintheirinfluence employees or followers for self-development. Suppose the Tesco want to launch new product and services in the market. In this situation the leader need to participate and direct their teamwork for give support in the process of new product launching. Contingency Leadership:According to the Fiedler's contingency theory, the leader's workability and skills are not enough for achieve successful leadership. There are many other factors also gives effective input in a successful leadership. For example; in the teamwork the leader facing some conflicts. In which to solve these conflicts the leader need to take help from their upper-level manager and employees for take necessary suggestions. So, all factors which related to the leadership are also giving input in success of leader.
CONCLUSION It can be concluded that the leader and the manager playing great role in the Tesco. Without them the company not able to achieve its decided business goal in the market. The manager is highly responsible to take effective decisions for the all over growth of the company. In which the leader is responsible to employ these all decisions at the workplace. There are many theories and models of approaches are mentioned above which are very necessary for perfect leadership. Here is operations management also playing great role in the achievement of business objectives.
