INTRODUCTION
Management and operation is important for achieving goal of company in timely manner. It
has been analysed that management of operation assists in handling various operations of
organisation in an appropriate manner. This report is carried upon the company named as
Rowlinson Knitwear founded in the year of 1972. They offer apparel as well as textile product to
its customer in order to satisfy them. The main purpose of company is to target ample of user for
earning profit. In addition to this, the project report use different style of leadership for
conducting different activity in good way. They also provide information related to various
models that must be linked to leadership in better way (Coker and Helo, 2016).

Introduction to the company
Rowlinson Knitwear is considered as medium size organisation founded in the year of
1972. They offer apparel as well as textile product to its customer in order to satisfy them. The
mission of company is to provide superior quality goods to its customer in order to attract them.
The vision of company is to achieve leading position across the world.
The leader is determined as a person who influences staff member of organisation. In
reference of chosen company, the leader focuses on influencing it's a staff member that helps in
achieving goal in timely manner. The duty of leader is to assign task to its staff member in order
to increase productivity level in future period of time.
Role of a leader
 The leader emphasized on achieving goal of company in timely manner.
 The leader offer apparent image in respect of vision of companies that help in increasing
performance in better way.
Characteristic of a leader
 It is important for leader to have superior communication that helps in influencing
employees for performing work in better way.
 The leader must possess confidence level that helps in enhancing subordinate for
executing task in an appropriate manner.

The manager is considered as a person who focuses on makings plan, organising, offering
direction, monitoring as well as controlling the activity of company in an appropriate manner. It
enhances performance of subordinate in upcoming period of time.

manner.

respect of policies (Dorfman and Henderson, 2018).

selected organisation, it is important to resolve problems that assists in creating product and
services according to the need of customer and enhances productivity level in upcoming period

Six Sigma is considered as an approach that is connected to enhancing product quality and
reducing the cost that is linked with product by decreasing wastage. It is considered as a popular
way adopted by selected company that helps in reducing wastage and increasing product quality
during particular phase of time period.
Role of o leader and manager
In an organisation, Six Sigma is organising in various stages for reducing the defect as well
as problem in goods within business organisation. The manager as well as leader of chosen
organisation focuses on organising or assessing different process that helps in identifying issue
within business organisation.
Lean manufacturing is considered as a method which is used by company in order to
increase productivity and focuses on minimising its price. It also helps in achieving competitive
advantage over rivalries at marketplace.

in which they emphasized on monitoring and controlling inventory and provide goods according

production that help in handling quality in an appropriate way.

appropriate use of resources by increasing full potentiality. In reference of chosen organisation, it
is important to connect operation management for enhancing overall productivity and reduce
price.
Logistic and inventory management they focus on offering goods and services to its
customer in timely manner and they emphasized on the zero waiting by its user philosophy that
help in delivering product in timely manner.
Scheduling there are various activities which is executed by company in order to perform
various functions in good way. In context of selected organisation, there is a requirement of
taking sequential steps for providing finish good to its user in order to satisfy their need.

There are different factors which imposes a direct impact on performance of an individual
person within business organisation. In reference of selected organisation, it is considered as a
medium sized organisation and confronted issue for performing operation of business
organisation. There is a requirement to handle activities of organisation in proper way for
developing appropriate strategy. There some factor which imposes direct impact on decision
making by Tesco that is given below:
Corporate social responsibility it is considered as a method by which company conduct
their activity that is beneficial to the society. The organisation focuses on different charitable
program that help in attracting large number of customer.
Culture involves beliefs, values and ethical element that is included in functioning of
business organisation. It is significant for organisation to handle values of organisations that help
in achieving goal as in timely manner (Whelan, Sarmiento and Sprenger, 2018).
Certainty is considered as a major element of operation management that impose direct
impact on decision taken by leader of business organisation. The main benefit of taking decision

that imposes direct impact on the performance of manager as well as leader in order to take
appropriate decisions.
On the basis of above given factors, it has been analysed that there are various factor which

From the given assignment, it is assessed that management and operation is important for
achieving goal of company in timely manner. It has been analysed that management of operation
assists in handling various operations of organisation in an appropriate manner. The main
