Literature review
Concept of talent management:
As per the view of Painter‐Morland and et.al., (2019) talent management is required to retain the
workforces who are top performer of the company. It is also helpful in increasing the motivation
within the employees. Under this training is provided to the worker so that they develop new
skills and brush the old skills. Ogunnaike and et.al., (2018) argue that although talent
management is used to attract efficient employees but it is very costly and time-consuming
process and sometimes employee do not retain even company is helping in their career
development. Narayanan, Rajithakumar and Menon, (2019) states that talent management is the
ongoing process and help in the growth of the organization. It is the process which is used to
identify the talent gaps and vacancy among the company.
Challenges faced in doing talent management by manufacturing industry:
According to Cappelli and Keller, (2017) there are many challenges which is faced by the
manufacturing industry like recruitment related challenges, retention challenges, training and
development etc. talent management is not easy to carry out as it is complex and time-consuming
thing and if talking about manufacturing sector the biggest obstacle is lack of skilled employees.
Järvi and Khoreva, (2020) said that in manufacturing high employee turnover is the staffing issue
so it is very necessary that HR should provide training and development to the employees which

include new and existing workers both. New employees should be trained so that they can
develop skills which is used to do the work and existing employee should be trained to brush
their skills Makarius and Srinivasan, (2017) critically said that low employee engagement is also
the concern so manufacturing sector should provide healthy workplace environment and should
have take employee feedback so that the HR come to know that why the employee is not able to
work.
Significance of talent management:
As per the Jadhav and Shaikh, talent management is important for the company to increase its
market share and can also attain the competitive advantage. Through effective talent
management company can achieve its goals and objectives. The secret of the company also
remain within employees only if they do not leave the company. Ganaie and Haque, (2017)
analysed that talent management is not only helpful for the company but it also increases the
employee satisfaction. Employee is satisfied when he or she is recognized for their hard work
and given appreciation. When company gives training to the workforce then it will be beneficial
for the company and also for employee as it is helpful in career development.
Research methodology
Research methodology refers to tool and technique through which the researcher conduct
their research for a selected topic (Dźwigoł, 2018). By research methodology researcher can
easily find out the issues and problems and also recognize the data for their research. Research
methodology has been categories in two type – qualitative and quantitative. It depends on the
topic of researcher, which type of research methodology is suitable for them.
Research type
Two types of research is present for the researcher -qualitative and quantitative.
Qualitative research is based on collecting numerical data for the research. By collecting
statistical data, researcher may get the accurate figure and numbers for their research. On the
other hand qualitative research is totally based on experience, views and opinions of customer. In
qualitative research, scholar don't involve any kind of numerical data. In this report qualitative
research has been chosen by the scholar for the research.
Research approach
Research approach has divided into two types inductive and deductive.
Inductive research is totally based on explanations, observations and theories. By considering

experience of other people and their point of view scholar collects the data for their research.
Besides this, deductive research focuses on implementation of hypothesis which is based on any
theory. It provides a suitable path to researcher. But in this research, scholar has selected
inductive research for the topic.
Research philosophy
Research philosophy is divided in two forms- interpretivism and positivism. It is
known to be the pillar of the research, which is conducted by the researcher. The idea behind
taking interpretivism philosophy, researcher will assume certain theoretical assumptions and and
try to sort out and justify them by taking help of numerical conclusion. This philosophy relies on
a view that scholar may get different different view and opinions of different people on same
topic. On the opposite positivism philosophy states that researcher should collect all the data
with the help of quantitative method in which the scholar will gather all the data through
statistical method so the data will be accurate, reliable and relevant.
Data collection
Scholar can collect the data from primary and secondary research. In the
collection of primary data, researcher gathers all the data by their own efforts (Snyder, 2019).
For the collection of data, they take help of questionnaire, and by communicating with people.
When the scholar themselves collect the data, those data will be relevant and accurate to their
research topic but it is time consuming process. On the other hand, research may get secondary
data easily with the help of internet, newspaper because it is available for the public and it does
not take so much time, and it is affordable for the researchers well.
Data analysis
As the name speaks, it is the procedure of selecting and bringing out the relevant
data and information to held research. For analysing data, there are two methods available
qualitative and quantitative data analysis. In the quantitative analysis, scholar uses various tools
and technique such as excel and numerical data. But in qualitative, scholar collects opinion and
experience of other people.

Data analysis
Data analysis is one of the vital part of research where the data which is collected by the
researcher is analysed and form meaningful data which gives meaningful conclusions and
provide the relevant findings. In the current research, questionnaire is used to gather the
necessary data and the collected data is evaluated using thematic test technique in the following
ways. Primary data is collected through questionnaire and secondary data is collected through
literature review.

help the company in their growth because this will increase motivation in the workforce and
which will automatically increase the productivity and it is positive point for employees also
because if they work hard then they will easily meet the company's target and company have
reward scheme for those whose target is met. So through this employee can earn more apart from
the salary and the working environment which is provided by the company is very good this is
also the reason of motivation which results in hard work. In the staring of the task only manager
explain the work to the employees so that is why repeatation or the possibility of doing the work

Reflection
Through the research which was done above there are some findings and I was able to develop
those findings and as a result it has developed my knowledge and skills. When I was conducting
this research I had faced many problems which provide hurdles into my research. The biggest
issue is related to time management where it was getting difficult in meeting the deadlines. When
I was doing research very carefully while observing every small aspect so that I efficiently
complete my research and which was time-consuming and caused delay in completion of
research. After that I learnt that through proper planning can help me to cross all the milestone
related to time. This research made me learnt that how all the activities or tasks can be performed
and how it can be organized and I had also developed some skills related to research I learnt that
how to do research so in future if I have to do the research I will do in less time.
CONCLUSION
Through this report it can be concluded that talent management is very important to
perform as it helps in overcoming all the obstacles or challenges which comes in the way of the
company. Talent management also help in the recruiting and retaining the workforce. This
research has also gave different methods through which the research can be conducted the
thematic data analysis technique was used for the qualitative research that was conducted by the
researcher. The researcher also gives reflection of the learning that he developed while doing the
