TITLE
To analyse and understand about different strategies which are used by organisation for
retaining and attracting talented workforce in organisation. “A case study on ASDA”.
INTRODUCTION
The project study states to understand about formulation of strategies which is used to
retain capable candidates within organisation premises. Managing and implement of different
strategies, policies and methods support an organisation for generating productive changes
which induced management for retaining effective workforce within organisation. An
organisation accomplishes short and long term goals through achieving their targets in specified
time-period (Mattel, 2019). Talent-management perform an important role for generating
productive changes by attracting and retaining talented workforce specifically those who are
highly skilled and capable to perform organisation operations. Talent-management is a continues
process which is used to retain effective and quality workers in order to enhance overall
organisation productivity. With effective utilisation of resources specifically human asset
management formulate longer results by retaining skilled employee's in organisation. ASDA is
selected as an organisation for this report and it is a British supermarket retail organisation which
was established in 1949. Along with ASDA is performing their work at a large level for fulfilling
individual requirements through offering a large variety of products. Aim & objectives, time-
frame, and research methodology to perform research in an appropriate manner will also be
included in this report which helps for generating meaningful results from research activities.

P1 Project aims and objectives
Overview of research- The selected topic for this research is talent-management and this
is required by an organisation for accomplish of goals and objectives by engage of effective
workforce in organisation (Czuchry and Yasin, 2018). Along with this by formulation of
specific strategy ASDA and it's management is focused towards completion of work with motive
of generating emphasis related with talent-management that helps to retain capable candidates
for a longer period. Motivation and training are the main sources which is used by respective

organisation for retaining skilled workers within organisation. Moreover, this is also important
for researcher to formulate effective strategies for retaining and attracting skilled employees.
Adequate research is conducted by researcher for generate about best strategies to retain
effective employees in organisation in order to perform all task with decided steps. The reason to
conduct this research is to perform all work through understand of work aspects that is related
with strategies through which work is completed for retain capable workforce (Van Grembergen
and Amelinckx, 2017). It determine work is managed with understand of workforce model to
identify and fulfil their needs in an appropriate manner.

OBJECTIVES
To manage and understand about all factors related with talent-management.
To analyse all those factors that is important for retaining potential workforce in an
organisation.
To determine and understand all principles which is used by organisation for performing
work related with talent-management.
To acknowledge about importance of talent-management for improving overall business
performance.

Explain all those factors that is related with talent-management of an organisation?
What are the important factors of talent-management to attract and retain potential
workforce?
Explain all principles that support organisation to engage talented workforce?
Project management
The term project management is explicated as an application of processes, skills,
knowledge and method that is required for completing project in an organised manner.
According to project acceptance researcher is consider towards final deliverables to perform
work with decided time-scale and budget (Archibald, 2017). It involves development of factors

to perform project activities in an organised manner. Different stages of project management are
mention as follow:
Project Initiation- This is first phase of project life-cycle and it is used for measuring
project value and feasibility. Basically, project manager utilises different tools such as
business case document to generate meaningful research.
Project planning- Once project action is approved than researcher plan and guide team
to manage work according to decided steps (Howson, 2017). Further, with formulation
of well effective project plan management guide and gather all resources which is
required to perform project activities in a decided time-frame.
Project execution- This is most common phase which is associated with project
management. By executing all project steps researcher is focused towards generating
and delivering appropriate deliverables to perform project in an organised manner.
Team leaders implement project plan actions according to assigned task.
Project controlling and monitoring- Monitor and control of activities relates with
execution of project action through performing all work at the same time. Research
team execute project plan to monitor research progress constantly.
Project closure- The last stage relates with project closure activities and they deliver
finish project to customer. All steps that is related with project life-cycle allow team for
evaluate and document project. Moreover, project closure activities aid to perform work
by complete them with more efficiency.
Manager control and handle multiple project at a same time so with formulate and combine
of all activities management ensure that every project is completed in a successful manner.
Managing project is a complex task so with use of project management tools project is
completed according to decided plan and schedule. It generates benefit for researcher to
complete research in proper manner (Meredith and Zwikael, 2019). Moreover, effective task
delegation also benefit researcher to perform research in a smooth manner for completing all
programmes easily.
P2 Project management plan
A project management plan refers to formulation of a formal paper or document which is
used for examining all project action for understand how a project is completed. This also
abstract about goals, scope, time-line, budget etc. for completing the project according to

decided path. This also consists about different objectives and targets which is required by an
organisation to achieve in decided time-period. With implement of appropriate changes
organisation considered about all those task which is used to perform work in a systematic
manner. This also promote appropriate learning and development for completing project in an
organised manner (Young, 2018). Moreover, in addition with this document researcher is
focused to perform all work with decided knowledge and information.
Cost- This is defined as the basis in which certain amount which is required by
researcher for conducting research appropriately is included. The cost aspect considers to
complete research in an effective manner through performing task with decided budget. It
also includes travel cost, legal fees and equipment cost which is required by researcher
for performing research in an effective manner. Moreover, researcher focus to complete
project in decided-budget which is £ 200.
Time- The time element defines overall period of time and it undertake the researcher for
performing research activities with decided path. Researcher perform their research in
decided time and the estimated period for completion of this research is two months. It
also aids researcher for completion of project by decided time-frame to manage research
in minimum time.
Scope- This generally undertakes and define about detailed period that is used to
formulate long term strength by performing research related with talent-management.
Investigator decided the area of talent-management for identify and understand of
research topics through which work with engage of effective workforce. Moreover, with
adopt of appropriate strategies related with talent-management researcher aids to perform
research in minimum time-period (El-Adaileh and Foster, 2019). Moreover, researcher
also enhance knowledge related with skilled employees to perform and manage research
through engage of different team members.
Quality- One of the most important framework that is used by researcher aids to perform
all actions and activities to manage task in decided time-period. With inspire about
proper information researcher is focused to perform all actions according to proper
collection of data that is related with current market. Researcher utilise both primary and
secondary methods of data-collection to perform research with meaningful information to
manage task in a proper manner.
