Background
For the multinational organization the diversity is and equality measures are most
important because they have to face most diverse workforce on the work place. This important
for organization like Google to prepare the policies that can help them to manage the diversity
and equality with in the work place to keep the employees highly motivated and satisfied (Ashe
and Nazroo, 2017). High motivation and satisfaction level can help the organization to improve
its performance in the target market. The equality and diversity can be taken as ensuring every
person in the should be treated same as other, there no discrimination should be allowed on the
work place. By making better and effective diversity & equality policy Google corporation can
help its employees to give their best performance in organization.
Rationale
Work force diversity and equality is most important for the organizational performance in
the target market. Due to diverse work force usually organizations face issues with equality on
the workplace. In my opinion it is important for companies to make efficient policies and
practices meeting the requirement to improve the workplace experience of employees to enhance

their performance (Paraskevopoulou and McKay, 2016). It is essential for organization build to
strategies and plans in order to develop better workplace environment for employees. The
purpose of this research is to collect information of diversity and equality to develop efficient
policies for organization.
Project Management plan
Cost- In order to complete research for organization some investment need to be made to arrange
resources to collect specific data form it (Hideg and Ferris, 2016). There are some other expenses
are need to be made to prepare the complete research work. The cost of this research work is 700
Euros.
Scope- There is huge scope of these research in the future. This research can be used by the
organization to get better effective data regarding diversity and equality to develop better
strategies and policies to improve the performance of employees (Klarsfeld and et. al., 2016).
This research also can be used by other researches to find research gap and future scope of
research. It can be also used a base for further researches.
Time- Time management is most important in conducting research. By using better time
management plan and schedule research can be completed with in the time frame provided by
organization. Time period of eight weeks has been used to complete this research work.
Quality- There are different type of consideration are used in the research work to prepare report
with high accuracy and precision to meet research goals. Research was focused on the aim and
objective to collect more precise data (Colgan, 2015). The resources which are used for research
work were authenticated and authorized. Data collection process was focused on the research
question to gather efficient data.
Communication- communication is important part of the research. With help of better
communication effectiveness of collected data can be improved. It can also help to interpret data
which is collected from the company employees (Kirton and Greene, 2015). There are some
points are need to be considered in the research to improve its effectiveness. Language,
translation and formate used for research work is efficient to meet the communicative purpose of
research.
Risk- There are various type of risks are associated with research work. Some risks that are
associated with the research work are related to the data security and privacy. The data which is
collected in the research can be misused by people with offensive intentions (Syed and Ozbilgin,

2015). There is possible risk of false information, which is provided by employees under certain
influence.
Resources- For the research work different type of resources are used. The common resources
used in research work are- Pen, Laptop, Internet, papers and various articles.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research methodology is a specific technique or process that is used to select, identify,
analyse and process information and data about particular topic. Research methodologies are
explained in the research work to provide brief overview of research work to allow the reader to
critically understand and analyse the reliability and authenticity of research work. It is consisted
of process that are used to complete the research work.
Research Design
Research design is related to the overall research strategy and process to unite the various
components of research in logical way. Is it kind of plan that is prepared to schedule and plan
whole research process. This of used by the researcher to prepare a blueprint to follow in the data
collection, analysis, and measurement for the research work (Avis, 2018). Mainly there are three
type of research design are used in the research work. For this research work exploratory
research design has been used. In this research design data is collected about the topic which was
not taken for research work. Thin research design in focused on the development of
understanding which can be used later to perform investigation and find future possibilities. This

design is used for research work because on the basis of this research company will decide its
equality and diversity policies.
Research Approach
Research approach is a process that is used to define the plan and procedure of the
research work. The wide assumptions of data collection, analysis, interpretation. The selection of
the research approach is based on the type of research topic that chosen by the researcher. There
are three type of research approaches are used by the researchers. These types of research
approaches are inductive, deductive and abduction research (Kumar, 2019). For this particular
topic inductive research approach has been used. In the research work, on the initial level
researcher collect the data from the target resources. These resources could be people, books,
journals and articles. As the specific data is collection is complete, whole data and information is
analysed by the by researcher to find different patterns that can help the person to produce
certain theory which can be further used by people to convert their own goal. Because the
Google will this use this research work to develop their diversity and equality policy to maintain
the high performance level on the work place. In this approach ion the basis of collected data
new theories are described by the researcher which can help the organization to decide their
future business and operational strategy.
Research Type
Research is known as a study that is performed with careful consideration for particular
issue or concern. For the research papers two most common research types are used by the
people. One is qualitative and other one is quantitative. The use of specific research type is based
on the purpose of research. If the data collection process includes the theoretical and experience
based data then the approach used in the process is qualitative. This is all about creation of in-
depth research that address particular problem (Flick, 2015). In this type of research non statical
method for research type. This type of research is based on the research and interview questions
that are decided by the researcher. If the question are highly focused and accurate then it can
provide more accurate and precise data from respondents. Because the research topic is based on
the employees experience so, qualitative approach used in this research.
Research Philosophy

Research philosophy is all about the belief of the researcher. How the data and
information is collected on certain beliefs. This about which process should be used to collect the
data. It is related to the perspective that is used by researcher to collect the data from the people.
Sampling
The basic meaning of the research sampling is group of people, items and objects that are
considered for the large number of audience for measurements. Sampling is considered as the
group of people that are targeted by the researcher to collect the data. The sampling is based on
the requirement of the research work. The data collected from the targeted people or sample can
be generalized for larger set of people (Ledford and Gast, 2018). There are different type of
sampling techniques are used by the researcher and the selection of particular type of sampling is
based on requirement of research work and type of topic identified for the research work. For
this research probable sampling is used where the random employees are used to collect data and
information. This type of sampling method is used in research work because this will reduce the
chances of false data collection and it will provide unbiased data for research work. There is
sample of 50 people have been taken form the Google . Selection of people for the research work
is completely free from the limitation and completely random people are used to collect the data.
Data Collection Techniques
In the research work there are two type of data collection techniques are used. The first
technique that is used for data collection is known as primary research and other one is
secondary research. To collect data for the research primary data collection technique has been
used. In primary data collection method, data is collected by the researcher. In the secondary
research or data collection technique researcher use the data and information provided by other
person or researcher to put their own opinion and justified it. In this research primary data
collection technique is used because data is directly collected from the targeted employees of
Google. In this process qualitative data collection approach is used in order to meet the research
objectives. The employees of Google are approached by using personal references in company
head office, also social media is used in data collection. To collect the data from employees a
questionnaire is prepared to collect the response of the sample audience.
Data Analysis
Data analysis is a process that includes the use of different tools and techniques that are
used to evaluate and analyse the data on certain standards. There are different type of methods

are used for the data analysis process. For this research work thematic data analysis process has
been used. In this methods data is analysed on the certain themes that are decided by the
researcher (Taylor, Bogdan and DeVault, 2015). Data collected form the employees is
represented in the table and chart formate to get better visual result to transfer the result of the
data analysis.
Ethical Consideration
Ethical considerations are one of the most important part of the research. In this
consideration different things are included. In the ethical consideration all the ethical concerns
are considered. This help the researcher to evaluate the data collected in the process is correct,
the people that are sampled for the research are not biased. It is also ensured that no false
information has been transferred in the data collection process. The prioritization of the people is
avoided also has been avoided in the process of research. It is also ensured that the participants
of the research are not harmed or influences in the process of data collection.

Interpretation- It can be interpreted from the above data that question asked the employees of
Google about work place diversity 50 sampled people provided their answers. 30 out of 50
people think that they are feeling diversity on the work palace and it is visible according to them.
There are 15 people form group of 50 are not satisfied with this comment. They think that work
place diversity and equality is negligible on the work place. There are only 5 people out of 50
have confusion in their mind. They are not aware of work place diversity and equality. As per
above data it is found that the work place environment of Google is highly diverse but there are
some people who still need consult in process.

Interpretation- it can be interpret from above data that. The impact of work place diversity is
high on the performance of employees. There are 40 out of 50 employees are supporting this
comment. According to them, work place environment can affect the performance of each
employee on the organization floor. There are 8 people are not agree with this statement. Their
views are different form the other 40 people. According to them their no major impact of work
place environment on the performance of individual employee. Only two people were not sure
about their answers. From above ratio it can be concluded that work place diversity can highly
influence the performance of employees.

Interpretation: - From above data it can be interpret that the work place environment of Google
is not that good for the employee motivation. There are 25 people out of 50 are considering that
the impact of organization and work place environment of Google is good for employees. 23
respondents are not in favour of this statement. As per them there is no impact of work place
behaviour on the motivation level of employees. 2 people in the sample are not sure about their
answer. This data shows that there is some impact of organization environment on the motivation
level of employees. Work place environment of Google is not that much effective for employee
motivation level.

Interpretation: - From the above data it can be interpreted that most of the employees of Google
are satisfied with current work palace environment. They do not want any kind of change in the
organization policies. That are completely satisfied with current set. There are 30 people who do
not want reform in organizational policies that are related to the diversity and equality. There are
10 people from the sample think that there are some changes can be made in the organizational
policies to get better result with work place. 10 respondents are not clear about the policy of the
Google. It can be strongly said that the work place strategy of Google . is good and it does not
requirement any major changes.

Interpretation: - It can be interpreted form above data that employee motivation is directly
connected to the motivation of employees. Most of the answers of respondents are in favour of
statement. 40 respondents are saying that both employee motivation and policies of organization
related to diversity are connected to each other. There are 9 respondents are not in favour of this
statement. Only 1 respondent was not about answer. It can be concluded that policies which are
made by organization to maintain work place diversity and equality drives the motivation of
people of organization,

Interpretation- The employees of Google are highly satisfied from their workplace. From the
above data it is found that, from the group of 50 respondent 45 respondents are satisfied and
happy and comfortable with work place of company. 4 people are not satisfied with workplace
environment of organization. From above data it can be interpreted that the policies used by
organization are highly effective for the employees and these policies are made to improve the
work experience.
RECOMMENDATIONS
There are different policies and practices are used by the organization to improve the
work efficiency and performance of employees (Ozturk and Tatli, 2016). There are certain
consideration need to be taken by Google to develop better strategies that can help the
organization to improve the motivation level of employees. Some ways to improve work place
diversity and equality are- by measuring the work place diversity and equality of work place to
perform analysis of it. This can help the organization to make effective changes in the company
policies. Diversity not only concerned about the race and religion of people but it is also
associated with other important factor like age, gender, sexual orientation, political views,
education and physical conditions.
1. By considering all these factor organizational policies can be improved.
2. The level of diversity can be improved by performing the recruitment on the vast
geographical area. Most of the organization are worry about the performance of the

company in the market place, but they also need to be worry about the employee
retention rate to provide better experience to employees with in the organization.
3. The organization culture is important to manage the work place diversity and equality to
improve the motivation level of employees (Fältholm, Wennberg and Wikberg Nilsson,
2016).
4. In the training and development process Google can consider diversity training enhancing
communication between people to increase the cooperation on the work palace.
5. By providing different king of flexibility with in the work place organization can develop
better and efficient diverse work place.
CONCLUSION
This research is concluding importance of diversity and equality on the work place.
Importance of diversity and equality has been analysed and assess for the working environment
of Google. The group of 50 has been selected for research work to get organizational data to find
the current situation of diversity and equality with in the work place. Research methodology that
is used for this report has been explained in research. On the basis of collected data an analysis is
performed to find the loop holes in the diversity policy and equality policy of company. In the
research various methods are suggested to improve the motivation level of employees by treating
them equally in company and provide them equal opportunities.
REFLECTION
From this research I have learned a lot of things which are important for business
organization like Google. to develop efficient policies that can help them to create a working
environment which incudes the high diverse work culture with increased motivated level in
employees (Hildebrandt, 2017). There are different things I learned from this report. I have also
studied the role of diversity policy and equality policy in order to improve the performance of
employee by increasing their motivation level. In my opinion organization can also use other
practices to get better result with diverse work place. Different processes can be considered in
order to make working environment good for people who are from different location and do not
know the local language. Different team activities can be used to develop better understanding
between the employees to improve the performance of organization. A proper time line also used
in the research work to complete the project with in the time limit. I have also evaluated the data
collected from the research work.
